Defensive starters

You are correct. Maybe someone else over Butler. He seems to have dropped off the radar. Maybe a new juco guy or Allen.

Allen plays a different position.

Butler played fine. Still needed more size and strength. Soloman if available could take that spot.

Put i think he is pretty much spot on...almost.

Might as well start the guessing game:

DE: Matthew Butler
NT: Emmitt Gooden
DE: Savion Williams
OLB: Darrell Taylor
ILB: Daniel Bituli
ILB: Darrin Kirkland
OLB: Deandre Johnson
CB: Alontae Taylor
CB: Bryce Thompson
S: Nigel Warrior
S: Trevon Flowers

Doubt Kirkland starts. He has lost too much speed.

From what I’ve heard, Harris moved to guard.

And then moved back to NT at the end of the season.
Harris is big ole strong boy with a great base.

If we get Soloman in for 2019. Then put Williams there at NT.

I think John Mincey could start over Butler, seems like the staff really likes him and he got more playing time as the year went on

Mincey really surprised last year. Yes, he very well may end up in the 2 deep over or with Butler.
I think Solomon is key here.

Mincey is a very quick twitch kid. I thought he was going to be a LB, but that guy put on some good weight and really showed some stuff last year.

Crouch is a day one starter in my opinion. JJ Peterson will push for a day one spot as well. Pruitt as already proved he doesnt care about what year your in the best plays so im not all that sure about Bitulli, kirkland, or johnson. Taylor is the only lock at LB because of his ability to rush the passer.

It'll be interesting to see how JJ Peterson and Banks can factor into the linebacker competition with a full year focused there.
I would hope that Peterson and Crouch will be starters next year considering that Taylor is the only one I remember making any plays last year.

At least one more year where everyone runs all over us again. The D-line looks weak.

The D line could possibly be deeper than last year, depending on the eligibility of the UM transfer.

And depending on how the young freshmen we redshirted last year progress. Hopefully Emerson and Mincey can contribute
