Tee Martin buys some time to learn from a national champion coach and get ready to step in.That would be a great situation for UT long term

Exactly what I'm thinking.
Sign Les to 2-3 years, have Tee come, pay the man, and have him HC in waiting.

Oh and the CHIEF! He has played for both Fulmer and Miles.
Get the Chief.
Keep Gillespie, and let them all figure out who they want at other position coaches.

LSU fired this guy and for good reason.

Yes,
and that reason is offense. which will be handed over to Tee. Just let Miles be the ambassador. Imo, like he did at LSU. Coordinators and position coaches win championships, not just the HC.

Les can recruit the crazy talented state of LA, Martin can get Tenn, Atlanta, Bama, and the Chief too! That's a rockstar cast.

We would be mediocre. Les Miles = Larry Coker.
Seriously? Miles record 142-55. That's mediocre? With a NC and he has beaten Alabama and give him some scares. His biggest downfall was not having a great OC and if rumors of Tee being the OC are true then it would be a homerun hire.

Martin will no doubt keep contacts in CA as well.

I think Fulmer is a better comparison. He got complacent and maybe a bit stubborn. Coker won with Davis's players, then fell completely apart once they were gone. Miles still had quite a bit of success with his own players

No Chief, his defense has been really bad his last years at LSU and all the years at A&M I think those defenses was big reason both coaches were fired

Did Chavis leave Les on good terms when he went to TAMU? I seem to recall a lawsuit involved, but cannot remember the circumstances. Would Les want Chavis after all of that?

If this Miles rumor has any truth, it would be stabilizing for everyone, don't you think?

Stabilizing?

I will be throwing up. We hired the town idiot. Sumlin is talking with UCF!! We should take another run at him. Instead, we will get the dolt who's offense is 3 yards and a cloud of dust. 3 years and we will be right back at this point......and a handful of stoners will still be bringing up Gruden. Deja vu all over again.
