Sometimes it is easy to forget where we've been.

Several years of no Top 25 Ranking

Accepting making it to a bowl as a good year or at least improved.

Double digit losses to our rivals

No national respect

Losses to Vandy

Accepting Dooley as quirky

In my opinion the job and rebuild CBJ has done is truly amazing. Will we finish with a couple losses? Probably. But to see the fight and determination this team had is amazing. I remember the huge embarrassing loss to Oregon in the national spot light.

We are heading the right direction....I have been a nega-vol at some point during all the games but the big picture is amazing.

I give a lot of credit to the players who changed the team attitude. In the Dooley era, one bad thing would happen and the whole team would go into a funk. Of course, the talent and depth are much better now but watching the team fight its butt off the last two weeks has been the best.

Remember when we were 0-1632 against ranked teams and had losing streaks against UGA, Florida, and USCjr?

Well were 4-1 in our last 5 ranked matches and now we are on the opposite end of those streaks.

We're getting there. We're out from under the Florida cloud and have back to back wins over our other chief East rival. A win this week and we're legit.

5-0, Ranked # 9 in nation, back to back wins over Florida and Georgia, and 3 games in a row as CBS game of the week and we are not legit now ??????

We're legit now. A win in the next two games just cements it. TWO wins in the next two games would add a serious exclamation point.

Yep then cbs puts a stat up while Tennessee was losing saying that Tennessee was like 0-35 against ranked teams on the road.. I can't remember but we are back at the light..

I have had my nega-moments but I am telling you it is easy to forget where we were in the past 10 years. Good, bad, or ugly....will speak are wins and this team has 5 of the most puzzling games and startsoftware ever, but I am going to be content with a victory...the boys are certainly giving their all.

This team is amazing. I give CBJ most of the credit. Should be a fun rest of the season. Headed to College Station this week. Let's show them Texans what Tennessee is all about!

Butch put a lot of effort into changing that mindset. If you remember, he was preaching a new mentality from day one.

Another thing about Butch. He stays on message even when it is annoying. How many people on here have complained about hearing "resilience?" Yet, I have now seen that word used in several columns today in describing this football team. He stays with a message until his players believe it.
