You reap what you sow.........or at least what others have sown. It really sucks knowing that we have the most delusional fanbase in college football.

I said it months ago....Chip ain't coming. Gruden ain't coming. If you make a change, make it with a coach in the bag. Fanbase demanded immediate change. The boycott. The Rock.

And since when in this country are you now considered guilty even when you've been cleared? Since Clay Travis said so? Geez people. Schiano was probably as qualified as we were going to get. What coach in their right mind would step into this cesspool, especially given ANY other option?

Freaking heartbreaking. This program was just set back another decade........if we're lucky.

Please, sir, enlighten me on why he's a good coach? I've yet to see you do this. Instead, you bad mouth your fellow Vols every chance you get. If you hate us that much, then why are you claiming to be a Vol?

This ass clown was guilty of being a low life individual and hated by all around him. Nobody was upset when he left Rutgers or Tampa Bay. Even a beloved VFL had a family member working at Tampa when he was there and told how abusive he was to everybody. And when did a 500 coaching record make him the most qualified.

Has nothing to do with guilt. It has to do with making a man the highest paid state employee and face of your program.

Enough with all this self pity, self loathing, crybaby, inferiority, learned helplessness BS.. Get over it and move on with your life. Not just you OP, but everyone in general who is crying publicly about how we are done for 10 more years and no one is ever gonna coach here again. It’s BS. Stand up. Find some joy and learn some lessons and move on with some hope.

You were probably OK with the Dooley and Butch hires. This program is dead because of inept leadership and fans that are OK with yet another garbage hire. Greg Schiano might have been the worst choice to come to Tennessee. You could’ve pretty much marched any other coach out there and not have gotten that reaction. Unbelievable.

that's an easy gut reaction that the national media has certainly latched on to.

but for those of us that have been close to this program for at least the last decade, and many of us, much longer, what happened yesterday was a culmination of what the last 10 years has been about. period. and the fault can be laid directly at the feet of the UTAD, past and present chancellor, president and Jimmy Haslam.

we know it, other boosters and administrators know it, and someone did something about it yesterday.

short term....prognosis is not good. there's no getting around that. long term, we may look back on this as the new starting point. won't know for a while.

but we have been sleeping in a bed that has been made for us for a long time now. now they have to sleep in a bed that was made for them. and that's not entirely a bad thing.

but make no mistake, this was not the fans' fault. this has been building for a decade. and yesterday, when they were trying to give us our next s**t sandwich, this time we didn't just put salt and pepper on it, and choke it down.... this time we threw it on the floor and said "not today".

as for your other points about the realistic coaching candidates, i agree, but even as ridiculous as a lot of that really was, it really has NOTHING to do with what happened yesterday.

it wasn't just grudenites that were pissed.

EVERYONE was pissed. rightfully so.

If I've learned anything this past week, it's that anyone with "Vol" and some random assortment of numbers in their name is most likely a troll from within the Athletic Department.
