Dear John Chavis

We shouldn't be sorry. It was the dumbass Kiffin that got rid of him or else he'd still be here. We had nothing to do with the Chavis firing.

Exactly. Chavis was an AWFUL recruiter (in fact, he rarely visited recruits without a posse). However, he can coach defenses. With him at the helm, and Lane overseeing the offense... Mercy! :whistling:

Yeah I really miss giving up 62 and 59 points to Florida and not being able to stop anyone on 3rd down...I seem to remember people wanting his a$$ gone too....But now you want him back....Makes sense....

But you'd rather give up 48 to Troy? Makes sense...

And 3RD and Chavis backs the defense off again and costs his team the game....pretty muching giving Alabubba another ring.

Not trying to be a jerk bit this is just garbage. Our program went down on their (fulmer and chavis) watch. Two losing seasons in a three year span and recruiting that fell outside the top 25. That's why we are where we are. That plus a bad hire in lil kiffie.

4 years...two 9 win seasons in between, and as I've said, a top defense in both those losing seasons.

And a really bad hire with Dooley.

Maybe next time you consult with us before you speak for us.

Cause he's phenomenal at giving away games

Was saying a similar thing to the OP.....until he used a prevent defense, which only prevented a victory for LSU.

Being a bit tongue in cheek with my OP. I had just finished watching the abysmal defense against Troy... Then Chavis had a nice scheme that did quite well against alabubba. The man has a gift for halftime adjustments. But yes, he backed off on that last drive and played too soft in my opinion. However, that last screen play was executed perfectly. I'm frustrated... angry... like the rest of us.

Dear Third Down Chavis,

We don't miss the days of a 20 point lead not being enough because you loved to let other teams score with you stupid mustang defense. Good thing you have some of the best athletes in college football to overcome your stupidity. Stupid is as stupid does. Saban knew you would go in prevent on that last drive and he was ready to have the game handed to him.

As far as the Bama/LSU game, LSU could have also tried to convert the first down that would have iced the game. Mettenberger was converting third and longs all second half, but on that that last drive in Bama territory they run the ball on third down and try a field goal that would have still left it a one score game if it was successful. I am not trying to suggest Chavis should ever be back at TN, but I think we all know that when things started going down hill at TN under Fulmer, it wasn't because of Chavis.

We are sorry. Please come home.

Did you watch LSU Saturday night ? They played lights out defense for 58 minutes and just like he did at UT he goes into the prevent and gets beat. They can keep him, all the prevent does is prevent you from winning
