'24 DC OT Jordan Seaton (Future Portal Entry)

“It was a good visit, from the fan base to (getting) to see the coaches again,”

“This visit was kind of different from the last time. It’s an OV, so everything’s more detailed as far as, like, where they see me at, game plan, how they set the process up for me and then my three-to-four-year plan, which would be a 30-year plan, if that makes sense.”

“I don’t really like to say everybody’s higher than everybody, because I have great relationships with every school,” Seaton said. “I like every single school the same because, you know, being a (high-)caliber athlete like I am, everybody’s going to show their best shot. Everybody’s going to tell you what you want to hear, so just kind of sifting through everything and knowing what’s real from what’s fake.

“That’s kind of the process I’m in right now. But they’re a real contender, just like other schools are real contenders. But they definitely have, like, a real shot.”

“It’s actually a very good deal that I got to bring my whole family out with me,” Seaton said. “Just having them to experience everything that I’ve experienced is everything you look for.

“You don’t really do stuff for yourself. You do it for others, so just being able to share my experience with my family means a lot to me.”

“A lot of people say Colorado brings the stars out, but I feel like Tennessee brought the stars out this week,” Seaton said. “Just being able to see the alumni base that they had, the connections that they got from their program is very good. Tennessee’s fan base goes from forever. You never know who you’re going to meet, and just the connections and the way they can tap into their network is insane.”

“There’s definitely a need for help on the front five, on both sides of the ball,” he said. “D-line, they did a good job, but they’re losing guys in the secondary. A DB got hurt. A walk-on played, so I feel like once Coach Heup gets that depth that he’s talking about — and he’s doing a really good job with the ‘24 class — you guys will start to see turnarounds in the program and bring it back to what it used to be back when Peyton Manning was here.”

“Finally get to head back home, see my family back again — get to head home tomorrow, as a matter of fact — so get to head back home, spend some time with my family, worry about Thanksgiving first,” he said. “If anything comes up, figure it out. But this is kind of my last visit right now on the books, and just got to stay tuned and see what else happens.”

“But my process is, I’m looking forward to that December 20th, I think the date is — signing day on that Wednesday — so I’m kind of looking forward to that,”

Well, doesnt sound like anyone's Seaton at the top.

What are you using to draw this conclusion? I dont see a Fong, or update anywhere.
If others before my post were concluding that he's not coming here, and there's obviously a path to early playing time, then that's why I drew that conclusion.

They took some lumps (and only one loss) while playing their most talented players even if they were less experienced. Downs at S is another true freshman who’s started all season.

And now…
its a lot easier to take those risks when you are the most talented team on the field every weak, and the guys behind him are just as talented, and probably more experienced.

They can make up for mistakes by a single player, or when they play us they know those mistakes won't be flagged. we aren't nearly as talented. we have to get it right or we can easily lose games.

We will be out bid last second.
With the way Spyre and UT alum's have been in the past, i would agree with this, but with the way the VQ staff and rucker have hinted, Seaton is being treated like Nico for this 24' class. The UT staff has made Seaton a priority and i don't think we will be out bid on this one, we may lose him to BAMA but i don't believe it will be to money like Francis Mauigoa like last year. I think they all realize that getting a premier OT is priority #1 for Nico, Merklinger, and George Macintyre. Landing Seaton and a couple premier OL's in the 25' class is important for George Macintyre's recruitment.

So we'll be Seaton catbird's seat? I think you look at difference in what Alabama did to us second half, and what Georgia has done all year. Its really given its QBs great protection. This is a great strategy.

I wish I had your optimism on not being out bid. But how many times have we seen it happen? Maybe it won’t happen but I have my doubts. We have a really, really good class. Especially on the OL. Seaton would be the cherry on top. Hopefully we do whatever is necessary to land him.

I'm just reading in between the lines from all of the guys that cover UT. Huepel and Elarbee talk to Seaton all the time, they made sure Boo, Peyton, and Dolly met Seaton on his visit. The effort they put in to re booking his flight, getting him a car in ATL for his entire family to get him to the game on time etc.. Everyone has said he is being treated like the Nico of the 24' class as far as importance and being the centerpiece. We may not land him, but i sounds like they will not let it be to money, they seem to consider Seaton an elite talent, which i'd agree. He is the best OT in the class, and i suspect they feel he is worth it, where as they had questions about Francis Mauigoa on being a OT or OG.
