David Sanders......AGAIN

I’m betting that Sanders comes back in a couple of weeks, the O line chemistry has been good the first 2 weeks and putting Sanders out now wouldn’t be smart. You risk disrupting the good chemistry, you risk reinjury, and starting a freshman for his first game against probably one of the best teams in the country might not be smart for him or the team.

I personally don’t expect McCoy will ever play this year, professional FB players are usually out an entire year with an ACL reconstruction. Why would you expect a college player to come back sooner? I think the bigger question is : WILL HE TAKE A REDSHIRT YR? whether that will improve a first team AA future draft prospect or hurt him might be up for debate and how well his knee is doing and rehab is doing. I would be surprised to actually see him play this year, maybe for the bowl game if there is one.

I don’t know anything about Gibson and what injury he has
I think McCoy will come back mid year / hope to play well and get a good draft grade. Gibson will not be back this year. Hobbs? Sanders?

Remember Lance Heard last year - he was going to be back any day but it didn’t happen and when he did come back it took a while to get in shape. People got down on Lance, but this year he’s a beast. I have come to accept the lack of info on player injuries, but the information void does invite fans to fill it with harmful speculation.

Maybe he needs to redshirt.

He played both ways and wasn't injury prone in HS

Perhaps it's something serious but just don't know what it is yet.

Well, the one replacing him on the line was one of the highest rated tackles in the country last week. Would definitely not want his first start to be this game.

This has gone from our staff being surprised he wasn't able to play in the opener, to him STILL sitting out 3 weeks later. WTH is going on??? Is our 5* stud that soft? Is it more serious then we were led to believe? I just see our team having a ton of injuries and it seems to happen ALL the time. It's frustrating.
Calling a player soft without proof is really supportive of you. Wonderful fan behavior. I bet you're just as supportive in your personal life.

Shoulder injuries are no joke. I remember in a game once, the announcers were happy a guy merely broke his arm rather than it being a shoulder injury. Sounds crazy, but shoulder injuries are typically some of the slowest to recover. I've had 2 relatively minor shoulder injuries in the past 3 years (no surgery, just PT) and it was months to recover from those.

Aren't you(the OP) the same guy who was crying about McCoy not playing through a torn ACL?

I bet you probably call in to work at your desk job after stubbing your toe in the morning. Usually the case when it comes to people such as yourself questioning the toughness of dudes who go out there and have to compete against some of the other biggest, fastest and strongest athletes in the world.
I haven't missed a day of work due to illness in 4 years.....but thanks for playing

What about Moi? Nobody is talking about him. We need Hobbs and Moi back this helps us overall on defense. I think McCoy comes back soon, he needs to play. He will never get drafted super high if he doesn’t play this year. It’s possible but not probable. GBO

The coach isn’t forthcoming so none of us knows what he has. If it’s a “lingering issue” it might be a concussion. Or some nerve damage in his shoulder/neck.
