First of all how good of a recruiter is he? Second, how much credit is he due for turning around Crompton or was that mostly Chaney and Lane?

It was a combo of all three that helped turn Crompton around, IMO. As far as a recruiter, his specialty is the Carolina's with a minor in Florida. He's top notch in the Carolina's.

Then he needs to get on over to Greensboro and take away Keenan Allen from his commit. He is sharp. I know. He is not a miracle worker.

Happened at ND also Clausen the first year then Dayne the second year. I often wonder why does that happen.

Doesn't everyone on here talk crap about recruits who go elsewhere "cause they're afraid to compete"?

There's a difference between being scared to compete and pure idiocracy. Clausen was one of the most heralded QB recruits to ever come out of HS.. why go there when you're guaranteed to sit for 3 years?

Heck though, if the girl in your avatar recruited for UT, we could get anybody we wanted. :)

I think everyone has buttons and styles of coaching that they react to better. I think this staff coached up Crompton as opposed to making a big deal and putting him out to dry. How often did you hear the coaching staff say they didn't put him in a good position. They had his back and also I think CLK and Reaves both understood his skill set as the season went on. More bootlegs and putting the play with a specific area to look in rather than the whole field to make a decision from. Real coaches do that. I think Reaves is a major portion of that in action. Was he a major contributor in coming up with those plans from skill sets, I don't know.

Im pretty sure he was the recruiter most responsible for landing Miller and Willis if Im not mistaken.
