If he's eligible immediately, he could get a year of good playing time before Michael Dyer is ready to go next year. Not a bad move for Mr. Oku - good luck, sir. Hope you have a great year.

I think he will do well in Gus's system. Yeah were on a first name basis.

In 2013, Arkansas State will potentially have the running back duo of the 2009 #1 APB and the 2010 #2 RB in the country. Good luck to the rest of the teams in the Sun Belt!

No joke. Arkansas State will have the best rushing attack in any NCAA school in the country that year probably. Hope it works out for them.

Will Malzahn bolt for the Hogs after one year in Jonesboro?

Wasnt his exit messy? Or if it was, was it all because of Houston Nutt due to Mustain situation? Im not sure that they couldnt get a slightly better candidate.

sadly we have had so many departures I forgot all about this kid.
Hope he does well, Dyer will most likely finish his sr year behind bars so hopefully Oku can get a 2 year gig.

I think he left because Nutt wouldn't let him run the offense like he wanted. So he went over to Tulsa and lit it up. Nutt was a mess in Fayetteville. Remember ESPN the magazine doing an article about all the problems with Nutt, a possible affair with a news reporter and then the Mitch Mustain ordeal.

Gus won't go to U of A and they don't want him. He was born and raised in Jonesboro and loves being able to relax with all his family. I think his end goal is to build up ASU and have a big instate rivalry like every other state does.

Here's something interesting. On 9/7/13, Arkansas State is scheduled to play the Auburn Tigers in Jordan-Hare Stadium...should be fun.
