It burns me to think of the lack of production at UT for him and Parker for them to be doing well in the NFL.

I think I remember that the coaches tried to get Martin to play TE in college, but he wouldn't go along with it.

Yeah Fulmer advised him that he should move to TE b/c if he wanted to be in the pro's that TE would be the position he would have to play but Martin refused and stayed at WR and stayed hurt w/hamstring injuries

I remember a couple of things about Martin. When he first came to Tenn he was considered one of the fastest players and had one of the best hands. Unfortunately he grew into a TE. Also, I remember his senior year,2000, he played in the slot and he was AJ Suggs' favorite target.

In defense of Martin not moving to TE for CPF......Would you? I mean other than Witten CPF had only used TEs for blocking and I think they didn't use Witten very well.

He's just a tad bigger than your average NFL WR. He reminds me of David Bostic. With that being said, I think he's a WR not a TE.

He's a whole lot more than a tad bigger than an NFL WR. He's 6'5 265, thats much bigger than your average wide receiver.

He played some te in 2000 also, IIRC.

Wasn't he mainly at te when he caught all those passes over the middle against LSU that year, or was he in the slot?
