Dave is not currently on the air. He will be doing a show on 100.3 with Terry Fair starting sometime in August.

The only way I would ever listen to that idiot talk on a radio show would be if he had laryngitis and I couldn't hear a word he says.

He is going to 100.3 with Terry Fair on August 2nd. They will be on from 3-6 in the afternoon, the new managment wants to go head to head with the afternoon show on The Sports Animal

uuuhhh...I thought they were owned by the same company...by the way...I will listen to Dave from 3-6 before I listen to Jimmy

There is the reason alone to listen maybe Johm and Jimmy will go away. Maybe Deerstone will be next.

Finebaum is on 1180 am around that time ... I listen to him before tuning in either of the snooze machines, new or old ....

Not any more, Citadel Broadcasting's lease on 100.3 ranout and decided to move their programing to 98.7 (a station they already owned) So the owner of 100.3 decided to put programming on the air that directly competes w/ Citadel instead of leasing it again.

i would rather listen to hooker that listen to hyams. he is so bad, no passion at all. the only time i heard passion was when someone went after fulmer. he and john are so boring, i can't bring myself to listen to them, no matter how many vol interviews they do.

Hooker is pretty funny. Most of the stuff he says is tongue-in-cheek.

Does it really matter? He is garbage, just the same as Tony Basilio. The only way tony gets hits on his site, is from people like me praying that X will make an posting, which never seems to happen anymore.

I think Knoxville is fortunate to have so much variety with sports talk radio. Hyams may be dry, Hooker lame, and Basilio full of himself at times, but on road trips I find a lack of stations of this genre. Here in Knoxville, we have the luxury of having good forums for sports discussion.

How did Dave Hooker get that job (and keep it)? He is terrible. There are many posters on here that could do a much better job. Probably made a deal with the devil. In return, he was forced to live as a fugly ginger for the rest of his life.

Don't listen to TB as much as I used to but he has to be better than "garbage". He put Hooker in the business, I think Dave Nathan as well, also first put Chris "Blimp Hubs" Low on the radio when he was a nobody working for Nashville, (i hate Low's work btw), he was the first to put Mike Griffith on the radio, (who started off ok but gradually got obnoxiously intolerable to the point he is now), helped with Fred White, and a few others that don't readily come to mind. Basilio aside, his callers make his show, way better than moron talk with John & Jimmy.

I listened to Tony because he's a fan and speaks as a fan. Give me that any day over that garbage on the "animal".
