@OandWReport:Univ. of Tennessee announces AD Dave Hart will retire effective June 30, 2017. #Vols

"Tennessee vice chancellor and athletic director Dave Hart is stepping down. 2016 will mark his sixth year at UT. His retirement will be effective June 30, 2017.
Hart came into Tennessee’s athletic program at one of its most tumultuous times. In his tenure he financially turned around a previously ailing athletic department and most notably rebuilt the Vols football program. Although, he has also made decisions for which he has been heavily criticized.
Hart will be holding a press conference at noon on Thursday to discuss his decision to step down.
We will have additional coverage of this story as information is made available."

That's actually great they're announcing it now. He's definitely leaving UT in better shape than he inherited.

Diamond Dave has his flaws.

With that said, overall, he is leaving the program in better shape than what he inherited.

Well done Dave!

Would be a terrible hire. I love Coach Fulmer but he wasn't exactly stellar in hiring and firing coaches.

Dave Blackburn is the hire to make. Don't screw this up UT.

It seems to be an easy decision. So I won't be surprised to see us pass on him to hire someone buried in scandals and failure.

I am still on the fence if Hart got lucky hiring CBJ in a pinch or actually knew what he was doing....
