The longer it goes the more it looks like there will be no LSU/Florida game. It burns me up that one Florida plays a patsy SEC schedule and two that they are trying to back into the Champioship game. Someone for the Vols must take a stand. Hart you are up.

Its got nothing to do with Hart. Sankey is the one who needs to earn his paycheck. He needs to lay down the law and make these teams play. Because leaving it up to just LSU and UF aint gonna happen. It wouldnt surprise me a bit though if the gane isnt played, UF wins out and goes to the SECCG.

Talks are if it isn't played, you only count divisional games to declare divisional winners. Which makes me wonder, why isn't this already the system. Seems more fair. Then you could use the cross division games as tie breakers.

Also, in this scenario we have already won the east basically.

Doug Dickey would have lobbied all other SEC schools to put the pressure on. Dave Hart should be doing the same thing if he is not.

They still have to play GA and at Arkansas..they will lose atleast one of those if not both. But still the SEC needs to see to it they make up the game.

But its not that way. If this game isnt played and UF wins out and we dont, UF goes to the SECCG.

Tv contracts and bowl alliances may not allow that.

I guess we're still scared of Florida, even after we whooped 'em. The ghost of 11 years haunting us.

here's the deal. in the realm of what's possible, if going unchecked, until FL loses and is mathematically eliminated, they can go to the SEC title game even losing the head to head. the fact that it's a possibility they could have the same # of losses as us and still go, should cause TN to cry foul, loudly.

it has nothing to do with being scared or over reacting, if this precedent gets set, it calls in to question the integrity of our championship process.

that FL could, and probably will, lose 1 or 2 more games is of no consequence in that respect.

No offense but this is just dumb. Why would we be scared of UF? We would beat them again. Its not about fear. Its about the possibility of Tennessee getting massively hosed because Florida is scared of playing LSU.

Just trust me...This game will only be played on that date if needed. greg sankey is prying both LSU and Florida will drop at least one game before then.

that's not a plan. throw a nickel in a fountain and making a wish is not how this should be handled.

making it wore, is that there are plenty of precedents already established on this issue, and the conference needs to exercise a) any/all means to get the game played b) make it known what the consequence, if any exist, would be for not playing.

i have a strong feeling, that while not made publically, Slive told TN and LSU back in 2005 exactly what would happen if they didn't figure it out.

based on the "statements" made by all involved over the last couple of days, that hasn't happened, or it'd be rescheduled, or we'd not be talking about this as a possible out come; FL playing while not playing a full 8 game conf schedule.

I know they aren't going to let Florida just play in the seccg. My point is my option has been floated out there. If my option is used then we have won the east. We should know something by this week.
