This would be hard hitting information . . . had it been posted in September.

I just can't understand how a program of our stature could not find a viable qb.

I think it is more that we can't develop what we have. Our qb's have raw talent, they just have been poorly coached this year. Crompton was just overrated.

It really is amazing that after nearly an entire season of work and no real injuries to speak of, that's all the offense we can muster. We are absolutely terrible with the ball.

We will never know what his offense could have been in his 2nd season. I can't say VN is sad about that. Under different circumstances he might have surprised us. If he would have had a QB, one with a field of vision, it might have been different. It must have frustrated him to know that he could not depend on execution when they were in a tight spot. Sad, but not. I actually feel sorry for him in a way, he must question his move from Richmond every week.

when gus malzahn's name was put forward last year, there were all kinds of cracks about his having been a high school coach (which he was--albeit a damned good one) and over his head in the s.e.c. (i guess nobody caught the 06 arkansas game). now, its a year later and the vols are officially a laughingstock, offensively. thank god we didn't hire that 'high school' coach!

if he was so good why didn't another big school snatch him up? And McFadden/Jones would make any OC look good

He left Arkansas, because Nutt wouldn't run his offense or play his crybaby of a QB.

How did fulmer pick this guy?
He was Fulmer's 4th choice... right behind Kippy Brown, Rob Spence and Doug Marrone.

2 of his top picks have or will be unemployed at the end of this season... just like Clawson.

Didn't Crompton and Stevens have two years to develop under Cutcliffe? And BJ had one?

Meanwhile, Ole Miss is clowning LSU and is actually using some imagination when they put their RBs behind the center, as opposed to our G-Gun or WildBerry Packages...

This year LSU reminds me of the UT teams the past few years. They are not as good as they used to be and remain in the polls based on perceptions of what they have done in the past.
