Can't remember his name, something abyss? Abyss defender maybe? He was a knight and he spawned in other Knights that would attack both you and him. You kill him and he resurrects with fire capabilities.

Btw... I just found a secret boss. The stairs you take down to the second boss, if instead you go up them you enter a room with an old lady you can talk to. If you kill her and interact with the statue behind her, a boss fight will start. I have fought the boss 3 times and get wrecked every time. This is probably one I'll have to come back to later.

Yeah the Abyss Lord of Cinder. That was a cool fight.

The one you're talking about is the Dancer of the Boreal Valley. End game boss that's accessible immediately, if you want.

I've been using and upgrading Astora's Straightsword. It seemed like a beefed up version of the long sword I started with so I went with it.

I'll have to check that out. Im one of those that have to explore every inch of each area or it'll drive me crazy so I'm hoping I'll run into something hidden

Think I'm going to start spending my souls on upgrading my weapons instead of my actual level. And I'm saving up for 20000 to get that key for the locked door at the place you level up at

A fully upgraded weapon and the right equipment (rings, armor, shield) will carry you further than a few levels. I have rings that give bonuses to Vig, End, Vit, Str, Dex, and Faith. Basically free 30 levels using those rings.

Where did you find the rings? Don't give exact locations just curious if you find them from dead NPCs or just from exploring or killing bosses. Or just buying them

The health, stamina, and equip load one is about mid game from killing two badass monsters. The Str, Dex, Faith are all end game finds in areas or purchases from secret merchants. Another is made from a boss soul.

Nope. It's like DS1 and Demon's Souls. Only invaded if human and boss not beaten. It's how they balance the ability to summon help by opening the doors to invaders.

I joined a covenant and in repeatedly being summoned now. It's actually pretty fun I enjoy it but sometimes I just want to play the game! Haha

It's pretty fun. Now I'm having guys invade my world. If I have the item equipped I can just summon a fellow covenant member correct? Also if someone jumps in my world can I summon a friend on my friends list in the middle of it?
