I literally just got done at work and am trying to catch up on this. I'm sure it's been discussed in full today, I've had No time to thread-scroll today. Any info would be appreciated.

The cop was off-duty it was not his place to get into it and I don't want to hear that "they are always on duty" crap they def pick and choose their situations and I'm sure being 24 or 25 doesn't help anything when it comes to judgement.

He was arrested for disorderly conduct. There have been rumors that the charges were dropped, but it looks like that might not be the case. Someone claimed there was video showing him trying to break up the fight, but there is no video at all. He hasn't been kicked off the team yet, so I guess that is good.

I hate to see these guys in trouble, but they should have known better. Don't blame it on the cop. If he was not drunk, it is his duty to intervene. If he was drunk and part of the problem, then i don't feel sorry for him. There has been nothing so far to indicate that this is the case though.

I know people whom know him and although he's extremely confident... Ahem. .. this seems entirely out of character. Heard he's all about the lasses and not a fighter.

I hope you are right, but it doesn't look good.

It's shocking that all involved didn't know better and an indication there are much greater concerns with the culture of the team than just stealing players from usc...

Darick isn't going anywhere. The statement on him from the KPD was laughable. Basically said he was tense when trying to handcuff him and called it assualt. I would be tense too. He never assaulted anyone, or least there is no record of it.

Why was he handcuffed. This isn't a freakin police state. Is Knoxville K P D out of control. You can't just randomly detain anyone can you?

Alright. So he was charged with resisting. It's possible his involvement was limited to peacemaker that was surprised by overzealous officers. That is understandable on both fronts. Any chance he is the Melvin Goins of this situation? Guilty by presence, solely?
