What happened with him? I see it on the Volquest message board, a lot of topics on him. Anything serious?

He just was not lisited on the depth chart released today. He is not hurt or anything just Z rodgers was listed above him. Odd if you ask me.

Everyone is motivated differently. CDD and his assistants have to find how Da'Rick is motivated. Talent is not the issue with this young man.

could possibly be part of his punishment from earlier this summer and dooley just kept it quiet?? or he could have just been beaten out of the job which is what i think...

He's just a freshman. Has plenty of talent. He will get plenty of touches as the season goes on.

Yeah he's just a freshman but so his Stone, James, Hunter, etc. I tend to think this may be motivational or possibly punishment. Remember he was one of only two who got arrested.

Just gotta get used to the fact that he can't out talent everyone at this level. Gotta work for it. I hope he realizes this soon, he has truly incredible potential.

Yeah, God forbid him be 2nd on team in receiving yards... If you expected Hopson to score 18+ the previous years in Pearl's system you are delusional. This year however, Hopson is the main focus and will put up very good numbers.

I hope hes not the scotty hopson of football. Knock on wood.

Me too man, me too. Our entire group of receivers has the potential to be absolutely lethal for the next few years. I have a feeling the others will step up. Here's hoping he does too.

Wasn't like Lofton, J. Smith, T. Smith, and Watson all averaged 16 ppg in Pearl's system...oh...wait...

Some guys come in and act like freshmen...some guys come in and step up right away. It looks like D. Rogers is going to take some time, but it's nothing I'm worried about at the moment. You just hope that you see maturity, focus, and aggressiveness build as he grows in the system.

It comes with time. Some players can step in from day 1. Not all players are a star from day 1. If he isn't starting by his junior year, then we can worry. Right now he is developing.

I'd be a lot more worried about depth issues on our lines than what receiver starts...
But that's just me.

he's jusr lazy right now. it will take him a while to realize he's not in high school anymore. when he starts really realizing his potential he'll step up. we have a fair amount of talent(if weget hunter back, which i'm beginning to doubt) at wide reciever right now, anyway. c'mon man !!! :banghead2: :realmad:

Which one of those guys went to the Sweet 16?

Oh wait...

They couldn't do it in four years. Scotty Hopson did it in his 2nd year and he was the 2nd leading scorer.

I don't understand the hate for Scotty but oh well. I guess success is measured in personal numbers these days. Who cares about wins?

With the way Peyton Manning is adored, you'd forget Tee Martin, the guy who won a championship for the school even exists.

Personally, I'll take team success over personal success any day of the week.

I heard he loafs around and doesn't finish his routes. Good coaching should resolve that. He has 5 star talent and 2 star effort.

The only thing going on is the fact that he has only been in Knoxville for 4 weeks.. He doesn't know all of the plays. As soon as he starts learning the plays then he will be on the field.. He will be on the field for the plays that he knows

All of them except Watson I believe.

Oh my Choisus, please stop it with the throwing a kid under the bus before he even plays a damn game. The only ones who have manufactured this mass hype is the people on this board.
