I share similar thoughts, but I'm ready to make Neyland rock like UT fans should. Lets become that 12th man like never before and send Vandy back to Nashville still looking to become bowl eligible. I hope they do make a bowl, just not at our expense. UT 42, Vandy 17, I've changed my earlier prediction.:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:The VOLS have already burned us a few times this season, so I've been pretty cynical about things. But with the recent win over Arkansas and opportunity to get to the SECCG, part of me is starting to get excited again... the other part is worried about the eminent let down.
The fact the opportunity to win the SEC is within our control is awesome, regardless of how bad we sucked against our biggest rivals. I really want to get excited. But I couldn't take regaining the optimism only to get kicked in the balls again.
Dilemma how are you guys feeling?
We must not yet have mentioned that UF lost 3, (count 'em: 3) SEC games this season and will be at home during the SEC championship game.I only say that when people take a swipe at the Gators or take the position that the game was actually somehow close, which it wasn't. :dance2:
But that's not the topic. The topic is SEC standings and the situation and I don't blame anyone for being enthusiastic about the Vols' chances to win the East. You should be excited, IMO.

Lets not get our digs in just yet.. Fla still has a chance (albeit a small chance) to still go to the SEC championship game. After the KY game would be a better chance to do that.. of course I am sure even then Law is still just going to say 59-20.![]()
greatly depends on your definition of "decent", and the "road" part is what kills it. all of our toughest games lost have been on the road. i guess you could consider MSU decent, depending, so i'd say 1-3.I don't mention it when people are just bragging on the Vols. I do mention it when they do so by stating, or implying, that the result of our game was anything different than it appeared to be or that, miraculously, if the game were played today, it would end differently.
For the life of me, however, I do not understand why so many are willing to stick their necks out so far on this when UT has hardly been consistent and one of the two games is on the road at a decent opponent.
What is UT's road record this year against decent teams?

all totaled.....4-3.
i don't disagree with that.
Lexington on Sr day has never seemed so daunting for us.
You've got to figure that their fans, with an opportunity to crush the hopes of a team that they would like to consider their rival, will be out in force. I still expect UT to win, but I think it is going to be a tough atmosphere and UT cannot afford to be the least bit complacent.
Hell yes I am excited, being a VOLS fan I am excited 12 months out of the year about VOLS football (although I take a step down from rabid once the Hurryin Hoosiers start playing basketball...sorry).
I expect Vandy to give us their best shot, they always do sometimes they just are not very good. Come out of this with a win and no injuries, it is thumbs up all systems go for UK.
I am hoping Geo and UK have a knock down drag out fight for the entire game with UK winning. Why? the bloodbath wears out UK, and a UK win means the VOLS come focused to play, big game, final of the year, etc. 2 things could make this finale better, playing it on Rocky Top, and then being able to face bama in the SECC...but I'll settle for 2 wins. Go VOLS!:good!:

If I were you guys I would be a combination of pumped up and cautiously optimistic. The Vandy game ought to be no contest for you (which is why it will be, right?)
The Kentucky game would have me all twisted up in knots. So much on the line. Its on the road, its winning the SECE versus finishing third in the division, its a shot at a BCS bowl bid, and it could be the turning point for Fulmer and the program.
Needless to say, a huge game.
