So every media member that picked UT to win the East last year are retaliating with this stuff? Good grief.

Danny Sheridan was just lobbing bombs on Finebaum the other day. The man was just begging for attention.

Saying Kentucky is going to beat us is ludicrous.

All we can hope is the team uses this for motivation. They have blown great chances the previous two years to win the SEC East and now are being overlooked and predicted to lose to Kentucky. We have been the joke of the SEC and the center of so many punchlines for far too long. It is time for them to step up and show the country that Tennessee is back and put ourselves back on top where we belong. It is time for them to outwork every other team in the country and put successful results on the field. It is time for Tennessee to win, any way any how, just get it done. I want us to get back that reputation and swagger we had in the 80s, 90s, and early 00s. I want people to fear playing Tennessee and know that when the Big Orange suit up we are going to bring it to you for the full 60 minutes. I hope we come out and pop GT straight in the freaking mouth and wreck them on primetime national television.

Sheridan just trying to get readers in TN.
Way too early for predictions imo.
Ask again on Oct 1.

I'd prefer this team to go in underrated and start blasting people rather than go in overrated and lay a big egg.

Let's hope he's wrong. Going 7-5 with a loss @ UK would be an absolutely terrible season.

Sheridan put aTm in the same boat and picked Arky to sink to only 6 or 7 wins. He's not alone in predicting the coaching carousel will be cranking up in the SEC this year and all the usual suspects will be on it.

Would make way for chip Kelly

Given the conversation I was involved in yesterday, I'm motivated to ask you if you're implying you hope we lose to Kentucky so Butch might be fired?

Edit: I just noticed the "Butch Loather " under your username. Guess that answers my question but you can still answer, if you'd like to.

Team 121 has a lot of talent and thanks to injuries last season, a lot of experience too. What they don't have is a lot of big name stars just yet.

To me that is the makings of a good team...fairly solid across the board. Right now if you ask me, our biggest weaknesses are the unknowns of our highly talented QBs, RB depth and how healthy our DL is. CB could also be a concern but Shaq Wiggins should help out there.

New coaches alone should help our DBs perform much better as a group. I feel like QB will be fine, less lows and highs than Dobbs but above average among QBs in SEC.

S&C as a whole should improve play and durability of OL/DL. Plus Quay Picou looks ready to add needed depth to DT position.

Happens EVERY year. They usually wait until Kentucky knocks off the first five patsies on the schedule first. The media did crown Stoops before his first game, so they have blind optimism going for them. We should probably pre-dig that mudhole. :aggressive:

What a clown. His own website says he's the best sports handicapper and analyst in the world today. He's always been a conceited clown.

If this guy thinks KY is a better team going into the season than UT, we've got some serious problems... even with our 4th string D they couldn't beat us... gashed the heck out of us, but couldn't beat us... idiot.

You invite comments from the "experts "when you lose to teams you should beat. Start curb stomping them and those predictions will stop.
