“Before we came to the Vol Walk today, I told ‘em, ‘When you got a dude drowning, you stick that hose in their mouth,’” said O'Brien, who played Saturday's game without two of his front teeth while waiting for replacements to arrive. “I said, ‘We’ve got to go out and take it. Ain’t nobody gonna give us nothing.’

“So we went out and took it, and we put the hose in their mouth at the end.”

He played a great game, even in the first half, so...talk it up Danny!

He's one of the last Dooley holdovers. He's been through it all, the transition and the rebuild. And now during his senior season, he's having his most productive year. Couldn't be more happy for the guy

I'll keep saying it - O'Brien has the quickest initial step of all our DT's!

He was getting consistently pushed back by the FL OL at the start of the game (along with most of the DL), but as the game progressed the tables turned completely. I'm really starting to question if the change in the S&C program has been to trade maximum strength for more strength endurance?

I have been thinking the same thing. The guys don't look as muscular...but they don't seem to get tired...hmmm
