What a pleasant surprise he's been through two games.

4-4 field goals
8-8 extra points

This kid was terrible in the spring and fall. Good to see he appears to have his act together and may have gained a good bit of trust from everyone. I still expect him to shank it every time he kicks, but he got closer to missing an extra point than I think he has a field goal attempt.

Kudos to you.

The disappointment of Lincoln was due to the mouthing of the a certain Coach

He's very confident in himself. Listen to the post game player interviews on utsports.com.

He had a great post-game interview...actually said some stuff of substance. This kid is growing on me. I'll agree...I had NO faith in him when the season started...but that is quickly changing.

I have to admit I was surprised when the 47 yarder went through. I was just watching on the Vol Network, but to me it looked like the first short FG just barely made it over the bar. So my hats off to him. Like Forrest Gump says, "One less thing to worry about."

He definitely showed a leg that I didn't think he had on the 47 yarder. It would have been good from 51 or 52 yards.

I was very happy with him when he hit the field goal in the Cal game, because a lot rested on that field goal....we were in the process of making our come back...

Last night, he continued to impress. I'm sure that he'll make mistakes ... but it is nice to start of so strong.

He's been a great surprise these first 2 games. Also give a shout out to Chad Cunnigham last night.

That's good to hear. Since he's proven himself with a 4 non-gimme FGs, the only thing I'm left to wonder about him is how he'll react when he misses that first one...

Now let's see how he can do when it reeeeeeeeeeeally matters. haha I've got significantly more confidence than I did before, but I'm still a bit weary about how he'll do in the Swamp if it comes down to it.

Yeah, maybe he'll hit a 51 yarder as time expires to give UT the win 30-28:)

his scoring kicks are great (FGs and extra points), but kickoffs need improvement. has he had a touchback this year? still, though, definitely a bright spot.

After the SM game they talked to him in the locker room. He said he tried to be one of those players who played his best in games.

Don't know what about kickers I don't trust. But no matter who has kicked our FG's in the past, I just KNOW that they are going to miss. That's why a made FG is so relieving.

That being said, I'm terribly worried about our FG kicking!!!! (psst Don't jinx this!):eek:k:

We've had some pretty good FG kickers in the past. Not really a spot I've ever been scared of with UT. Who did you think would miss?

(we could have the USF kicker so be careful :p)
