Daniel Hood played an amazing game yesterday. Hood did not show up in the stat sheet as much as other players yesterday, but he was a force on the defensive line. He also blew up several screens and forced Shaw outside the pocket several times. Dan McCullers received all of the preseason hype, but I believe Hood is equally, if not more important to the defensive line play as a whole. Steve Stripling deserves huge accolades for his work with the defensive line this year. Go Vols!

I always wonder what the opponent's center or other player who lines up across from McCullers for the first time thinks.

Daniel Hood's a gamer and gives his all for UT. I'm glad he has been able to get a win over a ranked team, because he's been through hell for several years and several coaches and has persevered. Thank's Daniel Hood, for being a Vol!

I said it in the Sutton thread, but Hood was the player most responsible for the interception.
