5 races would be a waste of everybody's time. would make for a nice publicity stunt though.

She should just go away. She can't cut it in IRL as it is.

Well she is 5th in points which either means she is better than around 15 to 20 regulars or they all can't cut it.

I still think she will be making a mistake coming to NASCAR.

I don't. What it boils down to is money. That's why you see more and more open wheel guys making the transition. There is more money in NASCAR for being that 10th place guy, if you catch my drift. She would stand to make more money if she can be somewhat competitive. Just ask Montoya.

How many wins does she have? How many starts. The thing I can't stand about her is that everytime something happens she has to confront another driver.

I am well aware that money is the attraction for NASCAR, as well as it is much more visible. But to me, a competitive driver, as she is, is not normally happy running for a 10-20 place finish when they are used to running in the top 5 or 6. Plus their career pretty much goes to a plateau as far as advancement. Ask Franchitti, Carpentier or Villaneauve.

Danica is no Montoya, not even close.

Let more open wheel invasion continue. I know this is a few days old, but MWR is going to have a test session with Vitor Meira. He insists that he's not leaving IRL, but it still shows that open wheel drivers still have aspirations to compete in America's top racing series.

Also Nelson Piquet, JR. is considering a move to RHR next year. I've read that he's plenty wealthy and could buy Hammond out which I could see. From what I hear, Piquet is trash, but I haven't watched him to base this with my own opinion.

The F1 broadcasters had a pretty good laugh at Piquet's expense during the Japanese GP when they were discussing his move to the Truck Series/NASCAR.

I believe it was Bob Varsha who said, "This further cements what we already knew... Formula 1 is the true stepping stone to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series."

Danica wanting 8 million for 8 races. Her on track performance isn't worth it, but overall, it definitley would be smart for a sponsor. I'm hoping this is just a rumor though.

This reminds me of what Tidwell said about Brian Vickers.

Vickers is the kind of guy I'd like to buy for what he's actually worth, and then sell for what he thinks he's worth.

I think the same holds true for Danica.

There's more money in making the show in NASCAR than there is winning most IRL races.

fact schmacts. lets's not let them get in the way of being biased.

Fact is she got a good headstart, went in to cruise control after midway, and anyone who could have taken her spot was punted off by the Dunos, Carpenters, and Barretts of the IRL.

I knew it, a conspiracy involving paying off several teams to wreck the other contenders.
