Dan Hawkins will not coach next year, IMO...

He always looks befuddled on the sidelines. I don't remember that at Boise. Maybe he needs to paint the field blue in Boulder.

It's his own fault. Looks like he is playing favoritism to his son. I understand they were behind all game but 64 passes, really? He didn't even complete 50%. 30 completions. They had a running back rush for 85 yards, 7.1ypc. 20 yards, 5.0ypc. 9 yards 9.0ypc. Here is a thought, run the ball more instead of letting your son throw 64 passes.

I might be in the minority here...but I think Cody Hawkins is a pretty good quarterback. Not great...but pretty good. I mean the kid had offers from some very good schools. You don't have to look it up because I already did.:)

Cody's dad just happens to be below average as a head coach.

Nah, Dan will be back at Boise, since chris peterson has just bombed there. We all know Dan Hawkins was the brain child of that deal, Chris is lousy just look at how the program has tanked under him...

That may be so. How many quarterbacks have you seen throw 64 passes in 4 quarters? I am sure it's happened but seriously... I don't Hawkins is letting any quarterback who doesn't share his last name, throw 64 passes. Especially when he is completing 46.9%. Toledo was torching their defense but Toledo doesn't have the ball that much if Colorado isn't consistently going three and out in the matter of 30 seconds. Colorado had 116 yards on the ground averaging 6.4 ypc if you don't include Hawkins 5 rushes for -21 yards. So in actuality, Hawkins had the ball put in his hand 69 times and averaged 4.9 yards. I agree with everyone who said it's bad play calling. I just think part of it being bad play calling is the favoritism he is giving his son.

They're trying to redshirt his backup, so right now, Cody Hawkins is just gonna have to manage.

The University of Colorado is so broke, they cant get rid of Hawkins until 2012. Thats when his contract ends. He's not going anywhere.

Wyoming wanted $65 for a ticket through our athletic department, what a joke. I found 4 on craigslist for $10 a piece. Heading down to Boulder on Saturday.

We are 7 point underdogs heading into the game?! Guys if you were ever going to bet on a game this weekend, put some money on the pokes this weekend! We will not disappoint.

It's a shame. I thought he was THE guy to lead Colorado back to prominence.

I thought the same thing about Hawkins. I thought he would do well at Colorado. I know this year he has a very young O-line and it showed vs. Toledo.

I think he has been recruiting well and if they cant fire him until 2012 then they will see if they pan out

They cannot afford to get rid of him now, so he will stay till his contract runs out. If he is able to fix what is wrong he might stay longer. It is not on his son, the Buffs defense sucks and could not stop CSU or Toledo forcing the Buffs too pass a lot.
