What other possible reason could there be for running your holder into the teeth of a 'safe Clemson kick formation' with your field goal kicker as the lead blocker?

That is the very definition of 'Coo Coo for Cocoa Puffs".
Aw cmon....you dont like a 200-lb placekicker's chances against All-ACC, All-World, All-Everything, Sure-Top-5-Pick 315-lb DT Christian Wilkins? What sorta football analyst are you?

If they make it, do they win the game? Fake kick or going for a 4th down inside your own 40 made it apparent Saban thought he needed to take risks out of the norm. Saban knew Clemson was bringing it and his squad thought it was their game by just walking on the field like normal.

His coaches always leave, and you'd really say he's taken a step back against quality teams purely on the basis of one game against Clemson?
He had two weeks or more to prep and they played like they’d been on vacation. They got fat and happy and it showed even against Georgia. There’s a few heads out there that say If Florida and Georgia continue to climb they could win the SEC. I’m not saying it’s over but he clearly put some people in places who quit on him.

*and they did it without some of their best players. If Clemson had everybody Bama might not score 16*
