CZA feeding the positive vibe

One of our assistant coaches tweeted the first part in quotes. I don't know exactly what it means specifically, but I'm hopeful has to do with recruiting.

what are ya'll confused about? He Tweeted what's in quotes. It wasn't a very detailed Tweet but it's just this could be him saying closing the deal on recruits. I just thought I'd share for those who aren't on Twitter

I'm with you BallerVol, wasn't confused at all. I saw it on Twitter too and was thinking good thoughts, especially this close to NSD and knowing that they (bUTch and the boys) were with Bellamy tonight after he decommits to FSU. Whatever he meant, I took it as GOOD ...:dance2::good!::victory::yahoo:

With such a short time to work on recruiting, new coaching staff, no bowl games in 2 years and such a crap record for almost 10 years bUTch and the boys have a steep uphill climb to get a full class of good football players to Tennessee.

If they get even 1 4* or 5* to change their mind and come to UT I'll consider it a successful NSD.

2 or more high recruits signed will be reason to celebrate.

The odds are stacked high against our coaches but they're doing the work and have no fear to try and go after the big boys.

"Wow!!! What a day! #closethedeal" is what CZA Tweeted
https://twitter.com/UTCoachZA
I really just wanted to show ya'll this because I know some have been getting worried lately, I think this staff has something or somethings up their sleeves, GBO

Every recruiting year this happens. We supposedly will flip a few studs before signing day. The only one I remember that was for real was Robert Meachem back in 2004 or whenever that was.

I will believe all this cloak and dagger stuff and optimism when I see it. 5 years of being a joke of a program tends to do that to some of us.

Don't think there was a necessary "surprise" behind it. I think CZA seems--from his other tweets--to do a lot of motivational-speak on Twitter.

It's great to see a staff interact with the fans directly and keep some enthusiasm. Let's just hope that if things get tough enthusiasm doesn't get labelled "hype".

What do you think he's gonna tweet, "we suck."

Well no obviously... but after the last coaches came through, I think everyone was/still is kind of bummed. However, recruits see tweets, they're on twitter. With a bigger presence and fans helping promote the University and the Vols... it never hurts. I'm not one of those people who thinks we're gonna get a top 5 class just because our coaches have a bunch of followers on social media, but like I said, promotion never hurts. Plus, if there is any truth that they are closing the deal, that could be very, very good news

Do you think these guys feel like they are doing something big if they close a 3*, since that is what they are used to getting and don't understand we need top tier talent? I am kind of being sarcastic, but kind of not tooo.....
