As much as I want to see a coaching change, I think it is important to abstain from any derogatory remarks concerning Fulmer at least Alabama week. I think we should do it for the team and this gos hand in hand with celebrating their victory tonight as well.Agree?

I heard Rod Wilks is going to Death Stare anyone caught talking bad about Fulmer. Just what I heard. My inside source is spot on about 99% of the time.

Hell no, Fulmer has a weird knack for winning this type of game when his a$$ is on the line!

Awesome. We beat Mississippi State and suddenly we're supposed to forget about UCLA? and Florida? and Georgia? and what happened in Tuscaloosa last year?

Yes . . . During Bama week you should suspend disbelief for 7 days and be a complete homer. It's good for you.

I don't give a damn if he wins out and beats everyone by 2 TD's I still want him gone. I'm done with him. A six game streak isn't going to make me forget about the past 6-8 years of wasted talent we have put on the field. The decline in intensity, development, and discipline. The hell with cutting slack.

By God, Was their any slack cut when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Alabama is the one I care about the most, at least on a visceral, gut level. I grew up in Knoxville during the first of the two streaks. I always used to say that I wouldn't care if we went 1-10, as long as the one was Alabama. I suppose this year is the test of that.

But none of that has anything to do with Fulmer; he doesn't get any slack from me just because it's Bama week. I felt this way about those turds from Tuscaloosa while he was still coaching linebackers in Wichita.

I used to say the same thing back in those days...We could go 1-10 as long as the one was against Alabama...This is MY favorite week of the year...Always is and always will be, The younger generation of VOL fans think UF is our #1 rival but little do they realize its always been Alabama...Always...The two greatest traditions in the SEC going at each other....It doesn't get any better than that...Go VOLS!!....BEAT BAMA!! :clapping:

I warned the folks who came over to watch football today that if they come back next week, expect me to be louder, drunker, more profane, and throwing more objects. I am totally feral about Tennessee-Alabama.

The Vols beating a terrible Miss. St. team does nothing for me. Sure, it's nice to see them them actually win a SEC game, but in the grand scheme of things, this season is still a HUGE disappointment.

A lot of people are allowing their joy of the game to be robbed by continually rooting against the coach, worrying about the coach, or complaining about the team.

We all know the issues right now...so why not just watch and pull for these 18-22 year old young men to play well and have fun? This isn't a military conflict after all; it's a bunch of boys playing a game. It's getting too acidic.

That's what AYSO soccer is for. I'm tired of my alma mater paying millions of dollars to somebody who can't coach well enough to give his team a chance to compete for championships in today's SEC.

There's no doubt that this is corrosive, and divisive, and it robs much of the joy out of the precious few football Saturdays of the year. It sucks, but it's going to keep being that way until we get rid of a guy who thinks he's entitled to a lifetime position because of success he had a decade ago.
