I will eloborate later the details.....

but the coaching community all hates Currie. Check with those that he worked with at Tennessee and Kansas State. No serious coach would have worked for him. I said that when he was hired. This is all on him end of story.

so the guy that put him in that position here, has no culpability for allowing THAT guy to be in charge?

Haslam + Currie = Hasrie???? which is a mess, big boosters have historically been some school's issue when they get too close to operational decisions........just saying, look at other schools who have had this issue.

Haslam is the mess. Currie was just a puppet under the crook.

Agreed. This is not all on Currie, even though his coaching search was not headed in the right direction. Sounds like Fulmer may have played a part in this as well, and as you mentioned someone hired Currie in the first place.

I have no idea of the magnitude of Haslam's contributions to UT. But, given his influence, it must be substantial!

Money talks, and will continue to talk until we find an administrator who can work with him without allowing Haslam to run the show.

If we're going to hire a new coach every 4 years we got to get better at it than this.

Currie is now a sympathetic figure.

We can't control that narrative folks.

It wrote itself.

Currie had to get hired first. So, if true, then whoever hired him screwed up.

Beverly Davenport. She didn’t want Fulmer so she used a search firm. She will use Fulmer as the interim here as she goes back to find another AD.
