Currie Wants Tennessee Competing in All Sports

Have you seen a list of majors for the team? Seems you need to back that statement up with evidence.

Watch this year when they are showing pics and bio's of players on T.V. (If they still do that) and see what the majority of the Majors are.

The thing is, the kids begin college with real degree majors. But, by the time their Jr years roll around they change because the degree requirements are easier thus their GPA's don't fall as much. Additionally, the core classes have already been taken so under water basket weaving is an applicable class.

Now, that's excluding Dobbs and those few exceptionable student atheletes!

Back when I was at UT the preferred major of football players was "Urban Studies".

Since football season is over I have been watching some college sports that I usually would not watch (Women's softball, men's baseball, golf, gymnastics, etc). What I have noticed is the same teams always seem to be contenders. GA. FL, Bama, LSU, etc. Why is UT usually not there? Aren't we good at anything anymore? We were in the 80's and 90's.

We're quite good in softball. Every year. We actually did amazing this year considering it was pretty much supposed to be a rebuilding year. Expectations were exceeded.

The track team seems to be improving. Cris Coleman was named SEC runner of the year and has the fastest times in the Nation in bothMaybe you guys in the Cleveland area are listening to to many Alabama the 100 and 200 meters. We have 17 members who have qualified for the NCAAs this year. Women’s tennis is improving as is mens tennis. While Ladies basketball has been disappointing, they are still a force in the SEC and is bringing in the #1 class this Fall. Mens basketball is improving and Barns will have a team that will likely make the NVAAs this year. We will have new coaches in Baseball and Mens tennis this Fall. Maybe some of the guys in Cleveland are listening to much to the Alabama fans in their area.
