Let's suppose, for a moment, that you are right.
Without a plan and a strategy that has a realistic chance of working (support instead of apathy, alignment of powers), removing Currie will likely only make it worse. Removing anyone above Currie stands a decent chance of making it much worse for much longer. It seems crazy, but I have seen it time and time again.
You don't go deposing leaders without the support and personnel and resources in place to replace them without the "whole country starving or being out of work+. -- Let's learn from our own very recent experience and think carefully about "kicking a man when he is down".
I would like to see a change, I do not have confidence that this AD can end this well. I have the same amount of confidence that hastily firing the AD and/or anyone else with this much in play can do much, much more damage. (unless the right personal and resources are aligned to a realistic plan with specific goals both understood and supported).
I don't disagree that the A Dept. seems wildly incompetent. It may not be as simple as it looks.
