Currie fired after he had deal with Leach

I suspect that Davenport had decided that Currie would have to be terminated and advised him to cease and desist from continued efforts to hire a coach. Currie thought if he could land a fish like Leach Davenport would not be able to have him fired. So, he was insubordinate and continued with his hiring efforts after he had been instructed to stop.

Why was Currie allowed to fly out and negotiate a deal with Leach only to get fired when an agreement was reached? WTF?

He went rogue. He caught a commercial flight to the west coast and did that on his own.
