Since defensive linemen like to bat our passes down this year, here's a tip to our OL; back when I played ball, guys that threw their hands up to block passes used to catch a fist in the nads. I can tell you, its very effective and will prevent those silly defensive linemen from participating in such tomfoolery.

Or just put them on their backs, ya know either way is fine with me.

Well O-Linemen are taught,or supposed to be anyway, once the D-Lineman lifts his hands up or tries to jump and bat the ball, you drive them back and/or down because their center of gravity has shifted.

Their lucky Crompton does not pull the stunt from the longest yard and throw a fast one at their nads.

This is why they're not very good at pass blocking. Your supposed to finish blocks until the whistle.

You would think that Vlad would tell Crompton to do a pump fake and when the defender jumps up he would pancake him and open up the throwing lane.

There only one problem with that. The offense is so simplistic right now its all about timing and getting the ball out. There is only a short window there to get that ball in. I don't know, they're really limited right now with JC under center.

With the way Crompton throws the ball so low He could just hit them in the nads with it himself and protect the linemen from a personal fowl....:good!:

If that's where he is aiming, I doubt he would hit it. They might catch it in the facemask though... or he might just dig a trench as the ball burrows into the ground from that distance.

I'm sure theyve all been told that at some point in either the high school or college level...they just have problems doing it for some reason

Crompton just has issues. Several of his batted passes were from linemen who stepped back inthe slant lane stopping Crompton and effectively the OL froming coming out to put him on his butt. We are suffering again this year from a lack of vertical passing game, making the dinks and dunks near impossible.

JC seemed somewhat effective with the bubble screen but I don't recall us running it all that much. It's a play that is hard to defend without the receiver getting at least 3-5 yards every time. Should the safeties move up to defend better then a juke and you're in the soft zone in front of the second tier which should give 7-10 yards.

I realize the qb has to deliver but it is a very quick short throw with usually good results.
