Cunningham punting to the middle of the field

.. I keep reading how Cunningham messed up in the first 3 games by "dangerously punting" to the middle of the field.......I can't stand when the blame goes to a punter when his coverage team should be tackling PR's no matter where the kick is fielded.....I know this is late, and may have already been discussed, but throughout the the broadcast (102.3 fm in Chattanooga), they kept saying how Cunningham was in the dog house for punting to the middle of the field when he was supposed to punt it to the sideline....(now, in the Auburn game, he's spectacular)....Give the kid hell for shanks, and punting it only 36 yards!! Don't give him hell for "punting it to the middle of the field, where dangerous kick returners hang out."....Did they not watch our atrocious, offensive punt return team in the Florida game? I've see quadrapalegics tackle better. It's probably easier for a kid to focus on punting rather than on focusing on not where to punt...

Agree 100 percent. Tackling and coverage was horrible in the UF game.

i wouldn't mind using colquitt on long punts and cunningham on coffin corner type situations. he seems to have great accuracy in that short range game
