Among the ever growing list just plain evil poo that trump is doing we should add the little island to our south.

We aren't living in the 19th century anymore. Imperialism will be a literal dead end for us.

Honestly, he should do it. Get rid of the communist and open the country up for the American markets.
How is a poor market about the population size of Virginia worth the expense of the conflict we'd have to undertake to make it happen?

We certainly have a track record of success down there in Cuba. And everywhere in the world, really.

We never really tried. 60s vs today. We have the technology to do it. The problem that is never reported is that China another communist countries try to use their cuba as a way to spy on America and to potentially cause harm. China had a significant presence with the Venezuelan dictator. We don't need that threat so close to us.

Maybe Trump thinks it just hasn't been implemented correctly
The others did it wrong, we can do it right. We're officially labeling it as a terrorist organization. In fact, I have lowered gas prices, ended inflation, and haven't covered up the files. We're gonna make Cuba great again. We're so back.

I don't know how to tell you that the biggest Chinese threat to America is not in Cuba, it's within our own country. The Chinese own an insane amount of US infrastructure and the US government does not have any clue how to disentangle the web. Hell, we can't even avoid buying stuff with Chinese components in our military as well as we ought to be.

I absolutely agree. The Chinese has infiltrated a large majority of the Democratic Party, colleges and so many " nonprofit" groups. Of course these are all the same just different branches of communism. Believe allowed this to go on for decades and it's not going to end. No politician will have the guts to stand up to reverse this trend

Be honest...

Have you expressed your lack of consent to have Zuckerberg share your data on Facebook?

Absolutely, below is an excerpt from an article in today’s Washington Post, but like you say, we don’t hear or see much about such things. Makes me wonder, what else might be going on that is never, or rarely reported?

Below the radar screen’

In 2023, U.S. officials said China had established an eavesdropping station in Cuba that allowed it to harvest electronic communications in the American Southeast. In 2024, at least four China-linked sites in Cuba appeared capable of collecting intelligence on the U.S., the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies reported.

I agree, and while I certainly don’t have much real understanding of how these type of things truly work or exactly where the threat exists in such a web, I am certain that the threat exists and likely always will.

A lot of former colonies were better off then than they are now.
Taxi driver in Nassau pointing out some.things on the ride. Mentioned Prime Minister house and their form of government. Didn't like the PM. Didn't like being somewhat under King Charles.
Said I trade her PM for Trump who she adores for some reason. Should've kept my mouth shut.
