Just pulled in the driveway and man Neyland was on fire today. Loudest Inhave ever heard it for such a consistent basis. It was incredible. As a recruit, how can you turn that away?
OU last year was louder throughout but this game was just as loud in the second half. I think the heat took a lot out of crowd in the first half. But Herbie needs to eat crow for saying the fans would give up if we started badly. WE DID NOT!
Loudest I have witnessed the stadium for a sustained period. I was at 98 Arkansas and todays game compares to the the crowd after the Stoerner fumble. I will never forget this game and atmosphere.
I just don't understand why a recruit wouldn't want to come to Tennessee after being in Neyland for a game like today's. There is no place like Neyland
I wasn't at the OU game, but the second half today was the loudest I can remember. There were times when we couldn't hear the band, and it took hours to get my full hearing back. I love that that was my kids' first Neyland experience!
It was pretty loud at the start but when we scored that first touchdown in the 2nd half it was like a giant woke up. It was pretty loud to say the least! (I don't know how but our 10 month old son slept through half the game.) Now let's go shew our support in Athens!
I think it had a lot to do with their crowd, Appleby said. Their offense started going, creating a tempo, they were fitting the run on early downs."
