It's disgusting. That doesn't make it rape or even on the same level as rape. That's why this was a misdemeanor and rape is a felony.
I don't agree that the ages should be lowered, but a felony conviction and sex offender registration is far more life-ruining than is warranted by many of the circumstances that lead to charges being brought.
That is why TN no longer registers people for first offenses. The modern trend of jurisprudence says that it's an offense that is subject to abuse or overreaction so perhaps take up your disgust with your local legislator or judge.

The more I read about Worley the more I hope we start Peterman or one of the freshman all year. For some reason I never thought he was gonna be any good at UT.
An 18 year old has considerable influence over a not-yet-mature-enough 14 year old. That's the whole point of statutory rape, that an older person can manipulate a child to do something like that. If I were a sick man I could easily get plenty of 14 year olds, and for some people to act like what Hill did is no big deal is disgusting.
Or if you stay away from 14 year old girls, no problem.
