Crompton

Don't get me wrong, I am skeptical at best about whether or not Crompton can be a serviceable QB for UT. I know he made some awful decisions last year, and MANY terrible throws. However, how good do you guys think Peyton Manning would have been if he stood under center knowing that his two best threats on the field were Lucas Taylor and Austin Rodgers? I remember Peyton talking on the Decade of Dominance DVD about how much confidence he got from spring practice knowing he had recievers like Marcus Nash and Joey Kent to go out and get the ball for him. Confidence is a huge part of playing QB, much more so than any other position, and I could see it would be tough going out there knowing there's a good chance your recievers lack the skills to get open on a consistent basis.

I do know that so many people say that Clawson's system was rediculous so maybe it was the system...I'm up for giving a second chance but I do think BJ is sneaking up

I didn't read all the posts and this may have been mentioned, sorry if it has. I read on earlierposts after Kiffin had filled his staff that he had recruited Crompton while at USC. Since he didn't go after a qb during recruiting it seems that if this is true he knows something we don't. Since MH didn't hire me I'll just let Kiffin coach for now and take a wait and see attitude. What the hell ,Wilkes is only a shout away.

My boyfriend (who's a Pigs fan) always talks smack about how that game demoralized Crompton and that's why he sucks so bad now. :eek:lol:

ask your obviously football-savvy boyfriend which position on defense Crompton played in that game

People who can't spell ridiculous are ridiculous for using words they don't know how to spell.:)

We know for sure that cromp-town will be the man this year. it's possible that he will be good, but Kiffin is making the decision to plug the guy in that won't be back in a year, which makes Tennessee a much more lucrative school to choose for.........let's say..........Jake Heaps.

Marcus Nash and Joey Kent absolutely sucked. It's a damn good thing Peyton was so adept at sticking passes in their face masks.

This one is a huge pet peeve for me, and it seems like about 80% of the U.S. population is incapable of spelling the word "ridiculous" correctly.
