Crompton should start against ASU

So was Ainge's 334 yards passing and 4 TD's enough for everybody tonight?

I'd certainly hope so. Then again, the same excuse that was thrown out last year about him must making simple throws and the receivers doing the work, could come out from someone. People just try to look for any reason to discredit good performances. Last year it was his receivers doing the work, I guess it's the receivers this year too?

Ainge is a great QB. Bottom line.

Where can I find all the comments trashing Ainge's abilities and performances?

The crazy thing about this thread is that it starts with a few backhanded shots at Ainge when he is the only consistent performer on the team.

Even with the PP (pinky problem) he has thrown the ball very well and with the appropriate velocity.

If the thread started as a call to rest him it would be a different matter. It started with a criticism of his performance. I repeat - without Ainge, we'd be screwed so far. He is the MOP this year so far.

Listen, you started a retarded thread and I, along with a number of other people called you on it. Get over it. I didn't feel like the thread deserved a longer response since the reasoning was obvious but here ya go.
1. On the 65% percentage rating. Ainge passed for 67% last year. He has passed for over 65% in every game so far this year. Every team in the nation throws dink and dunk passes, it's called modern football.
2. When your offense isn't that great and your receivers are still trying to find a way to get down field you don't play your second string qb, especially when your team is 1-2. Why in the world would you want to possibly upset any sort of offensive cohesion that might exist?
3. This team belongs to Erik Ainge. Crompton may have his time later, and he may back up next year as well, as for now our starting qb is playing very well....

Thanks for playing. Thanks for the opportunity to add some "healthy" discussion. Now in two weeks somebody else will post a similar thread and this will be brought up all over again-let's just say it gets old.

First off, Ainge didn't pass for for over 65% against Florida or Southern Miss. You might want to check your facts before mouthing your sophmoric arguments.

Second, where have I said that this team didn't belong to Ainge or that Crompton is better? Ainge is definitely the better quaterback. The only thing I suggested was having him sit the game out against an inferior opponent so he doesn't aggrevate his injury anymore. You would be singing a very different tune if he had re-injured it worst last night and we were stuck with Crompton for Georgia.

Third, how is our offense bad? We are averaging 35 points a game.

There are a number of people on here that actually agreed that it might not had been a bad idea. How about you read, think, and then respond instead of performing a knee-jerk reaction to what you read and then spitting venom because you read something you don't agree with.

I feel like we are in some silly school yard fight because you don't know how to handle points of view different than your own.

No question...

However, I have doubts that he can stay on the field...

This is the dumbest idea I've heard so far. We do have problems, but Ainge ain't really one of them. I don't even know if JC will be the man next year.
