Crompton must be coming on strong...

I just think Coleman was told he wasn't going to play over a Sr. who he's barely better than.

Coleman didn't prove he was better than JC last year.

I think this has to do with what Kiffin can tell these QB recruits more than anything. I don't think he likes any QB on the roster myself. I know I don't.

Crompton isn't the answer. I just hope he can make a few plays here and there and take care of the football. The Defense will win us some games but It is going to be a tough year. If we win 8 games with this group Kiffin should be COY in the SEC.

i went to mckenzie. we played you guys in playoffs a few times. remember you had this mr. football rb in the mid 90's

We had a few I think 2 of them were the Tant Brothers and they went to Vandy. One of them made it to the league for the Chargers and got cut after the preseason. The other was a lil running back we had but he didn't have his head on straight. Too bad I don't think that program has won 10 games in the past 5 years combined after winning 4 straight region crowns

yeah i remember one was matthew tant. played fb at vandy. he was a big kid.

my bro (in his spare time) covers the cheatham co. cubs for the ashland city paper. he loves it. though i don't think they are worth a damn. he tries to put a positive spin on it.

How do we know the coaches didn't evaluate the QB's and Coleman was still listed as 3rd behind Stephens? That would be enough to send him packing, since Stephens was limited all through spring. However IMO, Stephens played better than Crompton last year in games, and maybe the coaches realize that and have seen enough out of him this spring even though he was limited to put him in front of B.J.

According to this, the coaches would be evaluation the QB's further.

"This week, UT coach Lane Kiffin said coaches would break down film of all three quarterbacks to continue the evaluation process."

"Senior Jonathan Crompton left spring practice with a slight edge over sophomore B.J. Coleman and Stephens, but Stephens believes the competition will remain open this fall."

i just don't see how crompton beat out anybody. and i'm not trying to make fun. but anybody who watched the same games i did last year can see this guy can't do it. thought nick stephens in the uga game was decent but got the dog house after channeling george brett on the staff.

this case kelly intrigues me. i really believe him coming on board forced bj's hand.
