How bad has it gotten around here that people hang their hats on the fact that the team didnt roll over and play dead? Thats pitiful... Moral Victocy U

Agree-- props to the players. I thought they were getting ready to quit before halftime, but I was wrong. They hung in. Lathers and Z Rogers were amazing. Our D just blows, we give up big plays and we have costly turnovers at the worst possible time. Every. Single. Game.

As much as people want to think effort isn't the problem. Coaching and execution are.

As I stated in the other thread, "quit" is any easy word to use that people throw around. These players compete, just don't know how to win.

Why do you say that? NO ONE said that it was a moral victory. But when a coach is on the hot seat people expect players to quit. Ours have not. That is a testament to them. But no one said it was a moral victory. Geez.

Lots of credit for the team hanging in there with an excellent shot to win. They kept fighting back and I wish they'd got it for their sake more so than the fans.

We need a thread to say thanks for not giving up? OMG it just keeps getting worse. Shouldn't effort be a given? Maybe if your thread said "tough loss but proud of your effort" it may be slightly better but "thanks for not giving up"? Dayum

They should not but it has to be very frustrating to have a coaching staff like this.

It does show that the desire is there, and under the right leadership, these kids could be something special. They care more than people like to think.

Expecting to win and knowing how to win are key elements. Good teams always believe they are going to win no matter the circunstance. I do not believe our players as a whole have that mindset. Cliche but true big time players make big time plays in big time games. We used to have this. This is not a knock on any player or the team. They have not had the success to instill that confidence. Love the University and the team and have since 1972.
