Just to think back in the day I played on the same high school team with him. He's a really good guy personally. Real family guy.

Just when I thought they had overcome the choke . . . Tony Romo hocks one of the biggest hairballs of all time.

What a meteoric fall for Romo. I couldn't believe how much credit this guy got after the second game of his career. I think Tony already asked TO to introduce him for the Hall of Fame. Teams know how to shut him down now. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys don't make the playoffs next year. I highly doubt Romo will make the Pro Bowl again.

It's crazy how bad the breaks went against Dallas. Terry Glenn fumbling into his own endzone . . . Getting a 1st down spot taken away by a replay review . . . Being half a yard short of the 1st down on 3rd down and then Romo coming up a yard short on his desparation scramble. The football Gods just toyed with Cowboy fan in a sick way. :stinker2:

i'm so mad!!! :banghead2: that was ridiculous i can't believe the booth overruled that first down!! its no way they could spot that ball after watching those replays from those angles that was terrible! and some of those pass interference calls were ridiculous. if they put a finger on the wide receivers jersey the flag was coming out even if it put the seahawks on the damn 1! i mean come on let them play the freaking game... that ref can kiss my :shaking2: they sucked :bad: haha:finger3: :bash: :spank: :machgun: :gun:

The booth got it right. That spot on Witten's catch was almost a full yard off.

i don't know i just can't get over that it was ridiculous!! it was no way they could pin point where that ball stopped at.. they were on like 45 degree angles they had no shot down the line to even tell

I agree, the angle wasn't the best. In fact, I think they ended up spotting it a foot or two in the wrong direction . . . but it still shouldn;t have mattered. Romo botched a hold on what amounted to an extra point.

What the heck is going on here? Terrell Owens is composed, thoughtful and classy in the post game press conference.

I started listening to TO when he was going on about, "I remember back a few years ago when I was playing with the 49ers and we were playing Green Bay in the playoffs. I made a few drops, but I didn't hang my head, I kept it up and went out and made the game-winning catch..."

...I thought for sure he was ripping Romo for hanging his head on the sideline after the botched FG attempt.

Alas, he wasn't.

Romo is just shattered. This is hard to watch.

I agree. I am far from a Boys fan, but the kid is just as you stated.......shattered. I also have never seen TO so compassionate, and looking like he meant it. Everyone can make fun of both, all and the whole team, but I feel sorry for the kid. He got them to the playoffs, and then the worst possible way to end it happened. I really don't like the Cowboys very much, but it could have ended differently. Romo seems to be a class act, and a fine young man. I wish him well, just not too well, from now on out. I see that botched FG attempt being shown forever, at least 10 times a year. He really almost had the TD, and would have been a hero, had he. Now he is shouldering the weight of the whole organization, as a kid. He literally is a kid. Probably one of the worst playoff losses ever, and he gets all the blame. There were other factors that led up to that, that everyone forgets. So, maybe it isn't all on his shoulders. There is never anytime that one play makes a game. It is just a matter of the one play that everyone remembers. I.E., Hail Marys, Music City Miracles, etc. But, you have to be put in that situation by the whole team, to have it come down to one play. I hope that young Romo will realize this. If it works, you are a hero, if not....the dreaded ZERO.

he should have left it on the ground and let gramatica attempt at picking it off the ground haha.. that does suck if that guy coming from the right would have dove for the block to then he would have trotted into the endzone no problem.. i was so mad when that happened i was telling him to dive from the five but he just didn't hear me lol

Seeing the replay, it is pretty incredible that the guy coming off the edge for the block on the right side was able to come all the way around the back and catch Romo from behind. If he is half a step later, Romo at least gets the first down and all is forgiven.

Man... That game was heartbreaking in the worst way. Still, I have hope for the future. Now that he has some humility in him, Romo is the QB that Parcells can build a Super Bowl team around. Time for a big off season.
