#182 - Fred Weary
Weary was a three year letterman in 1998,’99, and ‘01. Originally a defensive lineman, he had 8 tackles during the ‘98 NC season, but was moved to the OLine where he became a starter in ‘99. Weary unfortunately suffered a season-ending injury in the 2000 season before coming back in 2001 and anchoring the best rushing offense Tennessee football ever enjoyed. Weary was the leader of that line, and his play earned him recognition to being drafted in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans.
Weary was also a leader, having been elected captain by the Vols during his senior season, and he did not disappoint. He was a huge reason that Tennessee easily won games in the trenches throughout the 2001 season, and he was the type of player Phillip Fulmer loved. He was named All-SEC for his phenomenal play in 2001.

1969 vs Auburn at Neyland. UT dominated 45-10. Note the male fans in shirt sleeves and ties. Didn't see those much after the early 70s.

#181 - Marion Hobby
The “IronMan” from Irondale, Al was a four year letterman from 1986-1989. As a redshirt freshman, he had 28 tackles, including 8 in the Liberty Bowl. In ‘87 and ‘88, Hobby was the most consistent DLineman on the team, leading the line in tackles each season and led the Vols with 4 sacks in ‘88. In his final season, Hobby was moved to DE from his DT position and flourished. He had 67 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and had 8 PBUs. He was named 1st team All-SEC in 1989. For his career, Hobby had 217 tackles, 7 sacks, and 17 tackles for loss. He was a 3rd round pick by the Vikings, but he was traded to the Patriots, where he played for three seasons. Hobby was named to the Vols 100th anniversary team.
