Sorry guys, but who knows.....I couldn't help but notice the lane that we had wide open when T. Smith had the ball, and for the longest time Hopson Maze and Chism just stood at the top of the key.....had one of them dashed for the basket, I believe an easy layup would of ensued....

watched the replay over and over again and there were nearly 4 secs left on the clock when everyone verged to T. Smith.....Can't blame T. Smith for shooting that one, I truly believe that had someone dashed for the basket, he would of dished it and who knows, it could of been an easy basket?

Ok, I take that back, when I looked at it again, Chism was trailing Smith w/ 4.4 seconds left....Smith is guarded by 3 guys, I believe Tatum is right in front of Pearl w/ a guy guarding him, which leaves Hopson and Maze, which in my opinion had HOPSON cut straight down the lane T. Smith would of seen him at that point, dished it to him and he would of had an easy chance for 2.....IMO WOW, to see that run over and over....

it doesnt matter i've watched that play over and over and it makes me sick there is no way you can take that shot you need to go to the basket and the worst the can happen is you get fouled or get a better percentage shot and i agree there is no way the rest of the team can just stand around it just looked like they gave up and didnt want to win

It's frustrating to watch this team have seven seconds and come up with a shot like that. Watching it the first time I thought that Smith took the ONLY AVAILABLE SHOT, after watching the replay, can't help but be agitated by the lack of urgency by these guys. It's almost as if they were ready to pack it in.

Don't know where to begin with this team, but I will say that the lack of focus and intensity by SOME of our guys makes me wonder if they even care about winning!

I love Bruce Pearl, but that was a terrible designed play, by the look of it......not much of a play at all.......

I don't know what happened to UT's bball team this year, but I would say lack of heart, lack of desire, lack of hunger, and an overall state of lazy overconfidence would best describe this team.

I sincerely hope that Tyler and Wayne wake up and realize that they need to return to school, and improve alot, before trying to play in the NBA......If they return, then hopefully we will learn how to play like a real team next year, and do much better.......:rock:

dont get me wrong I love tennessee sports I go to as many basketball games as i can and I am not blaming Pearl for losing this game and I DONT want him to get fired I think he has done a great job for this basketball program I just think his last play sucked and i think the players just didn't want it and it's sad it's almost as if they were too scared to win because they would have to play Pitt next game

The difference between teams coached by Pearl at UT and the team that he coached this year is that they seemed to have the attitude of "me, me, me."

I think Pearl is in over his head with some of these guys. YOU CAN'T COACH HEART OR GUTS!!!!!! As corny as that sounds, these guys didn't have it, they were to many followers and not enough LEADERS!!!!!

I also have a problem with Chism shooting 9 three's!!!! A guy his size should of been posting up ALL DAY LONG!

I'd have to put half the blame on CBP for not disciplining his guys and half the blame on the players for...well do I need to explain.

I really just think that this team, and Pearl weren't able to come together this year, for whatever reason. The biggest disappointment that I had with this team was wiht the lack of defensive effort/ pressure. that is a hallmark of Pearl's teams, I mean, where was the press this year???

If they have such great athletes, lets' see more press!! Pearl had a bunch of lazy players, I'm thinking. It's not like Lofton, Bradshaw, and Jodan Howell were soo fast, and they were pressing machines........

The offense is terrible! Our offense is pass the ball around the perimeter ,run the shot clock down to 3 seconds then shoot a 3. It's phathetic!

we lack a dynamic PG to break down the defense and dish, shoot, or take it to the rim.....

actually, Ramar Smith could do that anytime he wanted.....the only question was, when did he acutally want to do that??

NO matter, bc/ he got the boot..........Maze was Ok, but not as good as Ramar........hope West will be much better..........
