With all of the momentum that CBJ and Co has with the 2014 prospects, especially with our local crop, does anybody think our 2014 class could be/will be just like Ole Misses was this year? I mean did you see that war room roundtable of coaches jumping up and down, screaming, hugging and high-fiving eachother as if they had all just won the lottery. I want that for us next year!! I mean come on, if Ole Piss can do something like this, we can too right? Every dog has its day, thats for sure. Ive learned that today.

We are in it for a ton of high-caliber prospects in 2014. If Jones keeps going full-throttle and building year long relationships, I see no reason why we cant have a monstrous class like Ole Miss did!

Thoughts?

For real, unless we start throwing cash around and cheat on the same level everyone else does, nothing will change.

Doesnt every school have $$? Youd think a program like ours... A TOP 10 PROGRAM OF ALL-TIME... could match whatever little Ole Piss can offer! lol I mean come on, besides the Grove, what in the hell does that school offer? That POS HS looking stadium sure wouldnt blow me away like it did Laremy Tunsil. Tell me Laremy, what BLEW you away about your visit to Ole Miss besides $$$ ??

Ole Miss never signed a top 20 player in the history of their program. Today they signed like 3 or 4. They had one of those top 20 recruits posting Twitter pics of him flashing hundred dollar bills. This is SMU 2013!

I really don't think OleMiss paid anyone...rumors started flying about RN going there, other kids wanted to hop on board. Everyone is freaking out about all the talent they signed and they're not even a top 5 class. I think their D will be off the charts but they still don't have a decent offense. They got some help on the Oline, they will get very minimal production from the QB

I think CBJ can pull a top 10 class next year, it's not a gurantee but it's possible. We just have to realize, Ga, Fla, Bama, LSU are always going to be up there...throw in A&M and Auburn with the occasional USC...recruiting in the SEC is a lot tougher now than it was in Fulmer's prime. All he had to worry about was Spurrier

It is possible IF, we prove we can beat SOMEONE / ANYONE on the field, that we are not picked to beat. It's simple, WE MUST PROVE WE CAN WIN GAMES AGAINST QUALITY TEAMS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're a POS excuse for a fan.

Continue to enjoy those 5 win seasons and bottom half SEC recruiting cycles we have become used to. The complacency syndrome is what makes a POS fan. The NCAA has continually turned its back on the major cheating programs. It's the name of the game today. AU is in the same boat we were this year, look what they did. We need to get with the program or continued to get steamrolled.

I agree, our fanbase has become very soft over the years. Its like your a POS fan or not a real UT fan if you dont accept mediocrity or getting your kicked in the teeth over and over again. TRUE fans demand more...should demand more...and will continue to demand more from this staff and program!! Not the other way around! You cant bash this program, point your finger, be negative, etc....if you do you're told to root for another program. Ridiculous!

Winning again is gonna help big time, but reestablishing relationships and trust with area and regional coaches is key as well. It's a process that CBJ has begun here in Nashville area from the looks of things. It'll pay off next year

OR maybe hes just telling it like it is. Just because he doesnt blindly predict that 2014 will be a top ten class like the rest of you doesnt make him less of a fan. Oh wait by the way its STILL NSD 2013 but we are already on to 14 because 13 was such a bust. Some of you need to wake up and realize we are an after thought in the SEC.

I agree. DD really hurt us in regards to relationships past, current, and future. That being said, the fastest way to change perception of an irreverent program is to win. If we can beat just one of the following next year, it will help recruiting big time. Oregon, UGA, UF, USC or Bama. Hell even beating Auburn, will help our perception, especially after the haul they had today.

Treadwell has a friend at OM, Nkemdiche has a brother at OM, 10 of the 27 are from Mississippi, and Dodson and Wilkins are from Memphis (hour away), 14 are three stars.

Tunsil, Golson (Alabama), and the WR from Texas are the only four star or higher players who aren't from the state or don't have some connection there. Folks, it just fell into place.

We could very easily do this next year with our legacies and our high level in state players. If we lock down 6-8 top players in state along with Bates and Berry's, we will be on our way. But, CBJ has to show some improvement on the field and seal the deal off.
