Could Tennessee have the fastest offense in the SEC?

Cordarelle Patterson ran a 10.33 in the 100 meter, so that puts him near the world class range. In fact that may make him the fastest player in the SEC. He ran this at his community college last year.

Eh, unfortunately citing that 10.33 looks a little dubious (i.e wind aided) when you consider that time is more than .20 faster than his next fastest time on the season. (10.54) Actually if you throw out his fastest and slowest (10.83) times for the season and average the rest you get a 10.62. Even if you DID take that 10.33 it wouldn't have even been a top 3 finish in the SEC. Upshot; no, CP isn't nearly WC fast.

Now before that sounds too denigrating let's get some perspective here. We're talking about a guy who went sub-10.6 three times last year and did it at 6'4" and around 220lb. AND he seems to be an actual football player with some speed and not just the other way around. That's VERY impressive.
