These people are getting paid lots of Nil money now.Are they afraid they will injure themself and not make it to the NFL or afraid some else will take their place? When a QB calls out his team for not practing hard i think its a major problem with the whole team coaches and strength and conditioning people.

Did you write this in the dirt with a stick and then have a cousin translate it?

Joey was pretty diplomatic with his explanation of it the other day. Probably indicative of his age. It certainly might be an issue Danny will discuss with Heupel at his year end performance review. One question about it from Danny might illicit an appropriate response that he's satisfied. What that might be is pure speculation

They take on the personality of their coach. He is as laid back as they come it seems..never see him just lose it on the sidelines or at least I haven’t yet.
He was flagged in the Orange Bowl for a 15 yard penalty for chewing out a ref. It was the equivalent of a Technical foul on a basketball coach. I don’t recall seeing that happen to any other coach in recent years.

This narrative that some of y’all have that Heupel is too laid back with refs is just silly.

He is to laid back with players and his coaches--team discipline is an issue and has been or standards are ever wavering so there is no standard. it comes back to coach H, again.

Are you actually watching the sidelines or relying on the 1-2sec cuts shown during a broadcast?

Not all discipline is done with yelling like an idiot

He’s not as bad as Barnes about being quiet. He’s just soft spoken in a world where a referee only really fears the audience noticing that something is wrong. Saban, Smart, Calipari, Coach K - all very animated and they got their way when they have a problem with the officiating.

Heupel is a ball of energy, but he doesn’t run around and flail like a toddler who’s never been spanked. That’s a problem in the tv age of sports.

This damn site you can’t even make any kind of post or comment without people like you getting on here assuming this or that. To hell with all of this…

Players are motivated by different things. Some only are worried about the money, others about an NFL career, some may play hard in hopes that it may attract other programs to take notice before the next portal, some may be because they grew up as a fan and would never leave.

I wrote in another post that questioned how did Vandy and Indiana have unmatched historical seasons, both in the same year? These are 2 of the worst D1 programs in the NCAA. I heard Vandy had 20 or more portal players. If so, had anyone else ever heard of these players or were they highly regarded? I believe they did receive some moderate NIL money, but it looked to me they were motivated by having something to prove.

I’m not saying we need to go out and get scrubs, but it may make sense to have someone on staff to do a little homework and try to sort out overachievers, if possible.
