At what school were current NFL quarterbacks Josh Dobbs, Nathan Peterman and Riley Ferguson teammates?

Both Peterman and Ferguson put up really good stats after they left UT.

Begs the question, was it due to lack of QB development, lack of QB coach, or less competition?

There is no question. Ferguson had an attitude and entitlement problem. Hence, why he ended up at Memphis and not a bigger school. Peterman didn't fit our system. He had success at Pitt because the offense was more suited for him.

Peterman did better at Pitt when he had an offensive line blocking for him.

All these guys were thrown into the mix too early.

The big difference is Dobbs was the only Jones recruit. Peterman signed with Dooley, and Ferguson upheld his commit under Dooley and signed with Jones. When Jones signed Dobbs late, I had a strong feeling these other guys would find a way to fail.

I don't know what Butch has learned since he arrived, but I do know that his current QB roster is a lot closer to Ferguson and Peterman than another Dobbs. The hiring of Canales is no accident.

No way those two previous guys become NFL players if they stay at UT. Dobbs stock even rose in spite of his persona at UT. Never once would you hear a draft pundit laud QB development. Dobbs seemed to get drafted in spite of his lack of QB training and the other two by getting somewhere they'd actually receiv E it.

Ferguson had a serious attitude problem. He couldn't even stay out of trouble enough to travel with the team. His talent and "coaching" was never the problem and he'll tell you that. I love it when people bring up Ferguson when trying to bash Jones and his staff. There are things this staff has come up short with but using this as an example does not work.

Hey, you there, calm down. I was simply opening the board for discussion. Did you read anywhere in my post where I bashed CBJ?? Oh, you didn't? Yeah, that's what I thought too.

If I had a nickel for every player with an attitude problem.

Did you miss the other responses on here were posters turned this into a "bash Jones" thread?

I usually defend CBJ, but he made a horrible decision when he caved to the vocal fans' demands and started Peterman at Florida. That, kicking the 1 yard FG versus OK, and not going for 2 versus Florida are three of his worst decisions (although I was never that bothered by the last one... there was a lot of time left).

His biggest mistake was when he tried to redshirt Dobbs and then doubled down the next year. Everything else is peanuts compared to just the 1st year, but to do it again. I'm glad CBJ didn't try again in 2015.

You do know that Mr and Ms Dobbs had requested a redshirt year for Joshua correct??

None of the above. There is only room for one QB on the field. All three couldn't play at the same time, and Dobbs was/is better than the other two. That is why he was drafted higher. It really is that simple.

Sure, although Ferguson hasn't been drafted because he didn't declare this year. If he has another year like last year (or even better), he could potentially be drafted higher than Dobbs was (but in no way, shape or form am I on the RF should have started over Dobbs side of the house).

A better question would be :

During an Alabama vs Tennessee game, TNs senior QB was immediately replaced by what NFL QB player, where he ended up having 47 TDs and 17 INTs his entire college career.
