Well, fact is, prior to Pearl we couldn't even get a top five player to look at us, much less make an official visit. Why don't we wait until recruiting is finished prior to labeling this year as a joke. By the way, four star players are not a joke either. To indicate such is beyond stupid.
Wade Houston got vists from Corliss Williamson, Glenn Robinson, and Lawrence Funderburke(when he was transferring from IU). How much good did that do? If you don't sign them, it doesn't really matter.Vincent Yarbrough was a pretty highly rated recruit. As were Ernie and Bernie
I'm not a member but on rivals it says that he's not signing (at least not signing during the early signing period) with NCST. The opening line of the article says, "The first bit of controversial news surrounding the early signing period comes out of the North Carolina State recruiting class concerning Luke Cothron".
Anyway we get back in it with him? Anyway this is a sign that he is looking around still?
Cothron doesn't doubt at all that he'll end up at NC State.
"I'm done with recruiting, and I'm going ahead and will go to NC State," Cothron said. "I want to sign in the spring and don't want to sign right now. I'm just not ready to sign."
Cothron has been a steady visitor to NC State this fall, and that will continue. He doesn't want other schools to recruit him, but knows that some will keep trying. He picked NC State on Oct. 5 over Tennessee and Alabama, with interest from UConn, Florida State, Texas A&M, Auburn, Texas, and others.
"I haven't any second thoughts about NC State," Cothron said. "I want to see how [NCSU coach] Sidney Lowe coaches, and how they use their power forwards before I hop into a situation where I sign. Once you sign, you are in. I have to play a lot of minutes. I don't want to sit on the bench. I'll be going to the games for sure."
I know this is foolish from what he said but I feel like Lloyd Christmas - "So you're saying there's a chance". It's not over....
