Dobbs and Worley will likely go into spring camp tied at No. 1 on the depth chart. Worley due to his physical maturity and time in the system, Josh because he has game experience and the extra offensive element added by his running is something that Jones & Bajakian will, after seeing it in action, be very reluctant to give up. Ferg is probably at a solid No. 2 with Natty Pete at No. 3.

We may see Worley start but with increasing reps for Ferg as the year progresses until he overtakes the starting role probably midway through the year.

Most, well at least some, here think we have seen Worley's ceiling. So once one of the young guys is able to make wise choices in game and make the needed throws, it makes sense to put them in.


The whole idea is based on Dobbs and Fergie being better than Worley. For the most part, we trust Worley, and know what we are getting with him. Once the young guys prove they have the decision making, they are considered more athletic, so they enter the spot light.

Orlando Brown is losing weight its reported. Should be really fast at 240. If he can learn the playbook, then we have our answer. Is that good enough?

Unless one of the guys completely and utterly stands out above the rest. And by this, I mean have improved like a mad man over this off season. Worley will get the start for the first game. Assuming, again, all qb's are healthy.

1. Worley is a senior. So he should have the most mature mind and body. *He also has shown more signs that we can succeed with him at the helm. (this is simply my opinion)

2. Dobbs showed flashes of great potential. But not often (once again my opinion)

3. Ferguson…we simply do not know. It's easy to be wishful that he is the best since we haven't seen him. But we haven't seen him in a game.

4. Peterman…Well he would have a lot of making up to do in order to over come trust issues. It could happen. But personally I'm not counting on it.


* Side note. I think we will see Ferguson come in during the first game or two to see how he does. I think he will get considerable playing time, even.

Worley will start. We lost our whole OL. He's likely the only one brave enough to stand behind the new version.
