Coronavirus (No politics)

That doesn’t mean that bad things aren’t happening after the shots. It’s a small percentage but some people are having terrible side effects and I’m sure that includes death. I don’t personally know of anyone that has died but I do know of someone who easily could have and spent weeks in the hospital.

I'm not discounting the possibility that deaths from a vaccine reaction have occurred. I very much doubt the assertion that thousands have died supported only by what's listed in the VAERS database.

Sankey announced today that 6 of the 14 conference teams had reached the 80% mark for vaccinations. Also said that games will not be rescheduled this year due to Covid - if you are not healthy enough to play then you may have to forfeit.

Wonder who the six teams are? Sure Saban has his team fully vaccinated. Of course he didn’t lose a key player last year either!
Auburn and Bama most likely two of the teams as Alabama is around 33% vaccinated as entire state.

If yer goin to FL, you might want to pack along a little penicillin, too. Just sayin

Ya, no. My wife is a medical professional who has looked into the vaccine and refused it. I'll trust her and my Dr.'s advice over the "overwhelming" reporters that say its safe. Even though I'm sure it was a outlier my co-worker got the shot and now drinking milk makes him rash up and throat fill like its shutting.

I don't belittle anyone that wants to take it, I just don't get why those that feel they should get it think the ones that don't are brain washed rightwingers. I know a lot of the R's that took it, and a lot of D's that didn't. I just wish people could live their life. If 90% of the world take it just be happy you should outlast us 10% that didn't
My Doc’s advice was the same, don’t take the vaccine until more time has passed. Several factors he considered including health history. I have also attended two funerals in the last five months, all had both vaccination shots and still died from Covid complications. The other person we are friends with had Covid last fall, had the two shot vaccination in spring and contracted a much worse case of Covid this past June. Folks should make an informed decision regardless of whether they take the vaccine or not. This is not the typical flu vaccine.

And how do you know their deaths was caused by the vaccine? Their have been 0ver 600,000 dates from the virus in people who did not get the vaccine. I will take 2 versus 600,000 every day.
And how do you know 600,000+ have died directly from Covid? There has been states that openly admitted the numbers could be inflated a little.

To be fair, some of you should realize not everyone is a conspiracy theory nut. I'm not a trumper, not a republican, but not getting it now. I'm not anti vax either, I'm just not comfortable with it yet. That's me, my wife has health issues, and was told by 3 Drs not to take the vaccine because of her immune system. I know several people who have been told that, and I know someone older who had a very bad reaction, and ended up in ICU. As crazy as people are for believing it's all fake, it's just as crazy for people to automatically jump to "you conspiracy theory Trumpers" when someone hasn't taken it. Jmo

I am an educator, like most other educators we had the “option” of getting the vaccine as a group during the last school year. We were given the J and J shot. I am in very good health but I have never felt sicker in my life than the 24-48 hour period after getting the vaccine along with 10-15 other colleagues of mine out of a building of 70-75 staff members. I had a 103 degree fever and could literally feel my body reacting to the vaccine. It was very odd. I have had the flu vaccine many times with no reactions. No one died or was admitted into the hospital but if I were older or had underlying health issues I could understand being hesitant about it. I can’t speak for the other vaccines and reactions to them

So this is an attempt to get teams to vax up, but you can still test positive even with a shot.

Stupid. How’s about we don’t test anymore. What’s it matter? They’re young, healthy, and have the opportunity to get vaccinated.
Could you imagine getting treated for multiple ailments v before being cleared to play? SMH

My vaccine protects me, no one else. If I choose not to, it’s my choice. Jimmy can decide for himself. Life has always been simple, till we decided to make it complicated

That's true. But there are also states likes NY where the numbers were reduced quite a bit to cover up the fact that the governor murdered thousands of old people.

Research is inconclusive. What Ive read and heard on PC's is there is a 5% chance you can catch and give Virus to someone else, with an MRNA.

Some say you cant give it to others if Vaxxed. I dont believe that, but, best thing we can do is stay hydrated, eat your vitamins, rest, and get a vax. But its a choice.

Saban got his team infected on purpose in the offseason so they wouldn’t be affected in the Fall when it counted..I’m jk about that but it’s funny how that worked out
I actually noted this when it happened. Not done on purpose, but I thought at the time it was a good thing for Bama.

That is number which have been reported to the CDC from State Health Departments. Traditional, those reports have been under reported because many private physicians do not report disease occurrence to the States. Under reporting is estimated to be only about 20% of actual disease incidence. Reporting of adverse events, thought to be associated with vaccine, are much more accurately reported because of a program set up to compensated those thought to have those adverse events.

Forget about COVID in college sports. Testing athletes is dumb, they have virtually zero risk of dying. Let's see a list of all the college football players who have died from COVID. If people are concerned they may be around these players and are at risk then they can get the vaccine if they haven't already had COVID and recovered. See how easy that was??!!

So now you're going to pretend that you didn't originally cite the guy as being "the inventor of the mRNA vaccine?"

LOL

I don't blame you for changing your focus to me. That is an easy out.

I think I drove 66 mph on the interstate this morning at least 2 times

I also ran 2 yield signs once I got off the interstate.

I looked at my resume last night and I think I may have gotten my start dates off by a few hours on some of my previous employers.

I don't know why I am reporting this. I am sure logically.ai and their "World Class Engineers" have already reported me.

That seems like a convoluted way of saying "I was wrong."

Good grief, folks need to do what's best for them. People on both sides of the argument have legitimate reason for taking or not taking the vaccine. We've turned in to a society that feel the need to tell everyone what to do. Be mindful, this anti vaccine rhetoric started when a certain person was in the White House, how many times did we all hear on the nightly news "I won't take anything he had something to do with, don't trust it." It's almost as though the government is trying to pit us against one another. GBO!

Truth is almost everyone who wanted to get the vaccine has already gotten theirs. There's going to be millions who won't get it, and that's their own personal choice to make. It's time to live life like normal and not worry what others do. If those that are unvaccinated die from Covid, so be it. I'm moving on without a mask, never wearing it again.

I don't understand the drama about the vaccine on face value.

The Trump family got it, the Biden family got it, and many, many high profile people + hundreds of millions others worldwide have taken the vaccine.

If it does nothing, big whoop. You got a shot.
If it helps stem a pandemic, good.

There have been hundreds of millions of doses given...... if there were half a million deaths or something from it, it would not be something that could be hidden. It would be a MASSIVE click draw ($$$$$) for the media but it's not there.

No drama. Just take the shot. If it helps, fine. If it's useless, fine. Who cares?
What kind of medical expert are you? My wife has an enlarged heart and defibrillator/pacemaker that she had to get in her 30s. My kids have the gene to develop this same disease. They are born with the gene and develop the disease. My wife's cousin died at 17 and her father died in his 30s. Both her uncles needed heart transplants. Before you tell someone what they should or shouldn't do, or call folks names, maybe you should enjoy your vaccine and shut your pie hole.

Your vaccine decreases the chance of you getting it and even more importantly of you not spreading it to someone that it could kill or devastate…just like every other vaccine.

The one thing that California has gotten right, an unvaccinated child cannot attend a public school system. That’s in regards to the standard childhood vaccines mumps, measles, rubella, chicken pox, polio, small pox, etc. The state didn’t mandate that you vaccinate your children, but if you don’t, they are not allowed to endanger others…

I think that is a reasonable idea. You actually have to have all of your childhood vaccines current to attend any college in the USA. What’s one more?
Prior to this rule, I got to see first hand what happens without vaccines.
There was a measles outbreak at Georgia Tech and as a medical student, I helped take care of a Sophomore that got measles pneumonia and was in the ICU for months. Nearly died. Otherwise totally healthy, but unvaccinated. Vaccines save lives.

That’s not political, it’s a great rule for the right reason. It’s unfortunate that the politicians, media and internet have turned this pandemic into a political arena.
I think it’s as simple as every other required vaccine. You have the right to not get the vaccines. The consequence is that you aren’t allowed to attend a US college or university. If you are already admitted, then to sign up for your next semester, you must provide your complete vaccination record. No one bitches about the chicken pox vaccine…

An ailment would indicate a disease that is not communicable. This is an infection that can be passed from person to person.

Also Greg Sankey/SEC isn't trying to "protect" the athletes. If you have 80% vaccinations you're no longer required as a team to do the same level of COVID testing. So being tested less often = less positive test results = less likely to have teams ineligible to play games = more games played = $$$$

And if you have 85% of the team (this includes coaches/staff) vaccinated you can lift most other NCAA related restrictions for COVID protocol.

No its a succinct way of saying you and your "source" logically.ai are full of $h*t.

You have spent God knows how much time copying and pasting a bunch of stuff that shows they are correct. You've completely abandoned the argument that Malone invented the mRNA vaccine. And yet you're still wailing away at the fact checker.

"Okay, so all of the stuff the wrote is true, but they still suck!" It's fascinating to watch this happen.

totally agree...

and ive heard in talking to PharmD that based on previous vaccines it cannot be spread from one vaxxed person to another. Funny, Doc friends didnt really want to give any opinion on it.

At any rate appreciate the info. Good to hear.
